I wanted a Ship that could tank Null Sites, and be Versatile enough to prevent from having to refit. I chose the Proteus because It has good drone subsystems It has its Mids used for utility It can tank more than a Tengu Scan Probe Bonus It looks funny [Proteus, New Setup 1] Corpum B-Type Medium Armor Repairer Corpum B-Type Medium Armor Repairer Armor Thermic Hardener II Armor Kinetic Hardener II 800mm Reinforced Steel Plates II Magnetic Field Stabilizer II Capacitor Power Relay II Codebreaker II 10MN Afterburner II Cap Recharger II Salvager II Salvager II Sisters Expanded Probe Launcher, Sisters Core Scanner Probe I 200mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge M 200mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge M 200mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge M Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I Medium Salvage Tackle I Proteus Defensive - Nanobot Injector Proteus Electronics - Emergent Locus Analyzer Proteus Engineering - Augmented Capacitor Reservoir Proteus Offensive - Drone Synthesis Projector Proteus Propulsion - Localized Injectors Hammerhead II x5 Hammerhead II x5 Wasp II x4 Only problem is that I can't fit a full flight of Heavy Drones, which doesn't make sense to have a 100Mbit Drone Bandwith and enough to carry more than that. Why not put 75 or something like that? If it could fit 5 Heavy's, then it would be awesome. I don't have too much trouble with my limited probing skills. I can't even use T2 Probe Launchers and I've been able to scan down everything that I've found. Then again I haven't played around in wormhole space too much so... But The majority of time spent would be salvaging, not scanning. It normally takes me 10-15 minutes to scan a site, and more to complete it, so it probably wouldn't help too much. Cap life on your fit is very poor, you might run into problems with that. I'd also fit a cloak on it for safety. There's a crazy tank on that fit, so I'd swap the Aux nano pump to something else. Proteus has a such a small sig, that rat battleships miss it most of the time as long as you keep moving. You can also upgrade the guns, if you go for a faction/meta AB or cap booster, or wear a fitting implant. I assume you are in Serpentis space given the hardeners you have chosen so the only changes I would suggest are that you drop the plate as you have plenty of tank, this should enable you to upgrade the guns to 250GÇÖs. If you then donGÇÖt need that low slot then swap to the grav capacitor prop subsystem. It has a better align time (plus you no longer have the plate slowing you down as well) but also gives you a mid for a Drone upgrade. Something like this. Would be nice to roll around without an alt, and that certainly tanks lot more than an armor Ishtar. Rails without anything to improve tracking might be less than stellar performers, so I might go for blasters.
