Ok so for the past four or five days ive been trying something new.
I fitted my buzzard for salvaging
HIGHS
2 X Salvagers 1 X CovOps Cloak
MIDS 1 X Passive Targeter 1 X Ship Scanner II 1 X Microwarp 1MN Best named 2 X Cap Charger II
LOWS 1 X MAPC 1 X Inertia stab
Rigs 2 X Salvage tackle.
It worked quite well, i ran through many bubble camps, even when they managed to uncloak me by sitting on the edge of bubbles with their ships, i managed to get to the gate before i died. Scratched a little (into structure twice) but not dead.
Sadly, about 10 mins ago, my poor buzzard exploded. I undocked from a faction 0.0 station and got bbq'd by a harbinger sitting on the undock point before i could warp. Was able to redock my pod though, after tanking the harb for 20 seconds whilst the time went back down and i was allowed back in /flex.
Anyway. To my point. I was looking at how i could improve my setup, and i was thinking ECM.
If i fit some multispecs into the mids will they be able to jam anything? Or is fitting multispecs on a non ECM bonus'd ship not worthwhile? I dont need to run them for more than one cycle, just enough to blast his face into losing lock so i can recloak and run away with my tail between my legs.
Does anyone have any ideas on adding a little more surviveablity to my ship? Or perhaps another ship that would be better?
And yes, i know, falcon. But i cant fly it yet. 3 more weeks.

Passive targeter and ship scanner are useless for this ship's intended purpose.

Maybe he doesn't want the wrecks to know they are being targeted.
------ I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it. |

Haha yeah i know.
But i brought my ship home before i thought about fitting because im a ******, so i just threw them on cause i had spare mids and had the mods lying around.
The next one i think will have 4 X multispecs and a MWD in the mids. Will i even have enough cap to fire off 4 X multispecs? mmmmmmmmmmmmm

You should be able to fire three at least, and maybe with enough skills in the right places you could use four. Not sure if you'd be able to fire four after you've activated the MWD though.

Would an ECM burst work better? Since the ship has no bonus for ECM on it, even with three ECM II's that only gives me 7.2 strength.
And ECM burst, while only having a 6km range, also has 7.2 strength and is only taking up one midslot.
Not that i need the midslots for anything else.
Suggestions?

1)Don't bother with ECM burst, it just breaks lock, a ceptor can relock you instantly
2)Don't use Multispecs, your jam strength is bad enough as is with out a bonus or low slot mods
3)you got 4 midslots, filled them with racial jammers
4)If possible put signal distortion amps in your low slots
5)But really, just head to Motsu with some probes, its much less risky and further more why do i even need a sig? |

Maybe use those mids to, idk, fit enough shield tank to align?

best way to ninja salvage is to ninja salvage while ninja ratting. get into an AF, level salvaging to 4, stick on one salvager and head into 0.0. honestly theres no point >just< ninja salvaging; the generation of isk is just too unpredictable, and not that high in the best of circumstances. |

regular ratting is very boring.
Ive had alot fo fn over the pat few days just being hidden, watching camps and following roaming gangs in the hope of something nice.
like a vulture.
I understand i can make ALOT more isk mining or ratting or mission running or something, but i dont have fun doing that.
I have fun doing this, so ima keep at it.

Fitting racials instead of multispecs is just plain stupid. You got far better chance to jam random opponent with multispecs.
And a buzzard needs very little time unlocked to be able to warp again, or at least activate mwd again and cloak.
I am pretty sure that activating mwd does not remove your invuln timer, so next time a lonely harb is at station, activate mwd for 30 secs and there is no way he is fast enough to keep up with you. Then when you come near end of timer, cloak and warp out. ---------------------------------------------

To avoid getting roasted coming out of stations do the trick that I do that has kept my buzzard alive for over a year.
When you come out hit the microwarp drive. This does not kill your immunity like trying to cloak or warp does. Once suitable distance away cloak then warp. I have never been caught this way.
I also fit my buzzard for speed in rigs and lows. I think its around 3k a second or thereabouts. |

That is pretty much what I did when I had my buzzard in 0.0, except I just setup a bm which was a couple hundred km away so as soon as I undocked I could hit warp and cloak on the way. |

I am sorry but the majority of EVE players are unfamiliar with the concept of doing something that is fun instead of doing something that generates the most ISK/Hour possible. You're going to have to come up with a better reason than that!
