Loosing intrest or just me ?

Xris	Posted - 2004.07.26 18:55:00 - [1] I was on this sunday and could see the numbers of players on this sunday was 3000 less than last sunday. I aslo are watching old friends around me just quiting of boredom. My self is not very spirited with the game right now. Think it is a ballon that right now has a airleak. But is this just happening around me or is other Players that have been here for a while have the same feeling? We are all waiting for something to happen. Waiting for somthing to give the game a purpose. Waiting for shiva that was promised in may by the DEV teams in the March. Than thay said third quarter. Boy's 3rd quarter is from July to Setember. So here is the second question is there anything Shiva like on the Chaos yet ? Please old players give me some feed back are we still hanging in there ?

People are out in the ncie weather (except in britain where it is stilll raining), and generaly feel less like playing computer games. flummox	Posted - 2004.07.26 21:00:00 - [17] yeah. keep in mind that last summer, the game was new. no summertime drop-off didn't effect as much as it has this year. i think that in the fall it will pick back up, regardless of Shiva or not... but Shiva will be cool... there is a fine, but dissasterous line between a fart and a shart. i suggest you make sure which side you want to be on...

Right now the most viable stratagies are to do gank fests at gates. We need to have more "arena's" to fight in and more things to fight over. Otherwise alot of people are going to start getting restless. Summertime (US at least) means a lot of vacations and days in the sun, away from the computer...as mentioned previously. Eve's not for the time-limited people, lol. Personally, I'm back in WWIIOL, soaking up some lead for the Axis for awhile ;) __________________ Mayhem

This is the main reply to the general numbers. Damn.. me sitting here replying to you on a forum instead of calling a girl and have an icecream in the sun is insane. (Though.. writing on forums, I don't need to shower ) 2, Interest will go up and down I played for a year. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I don't care and feel generally bored. I went away for almost a month at one time. The northern war has made me reach a current peak. I love it, and I grow everyday as a PvP person. blows a kiss of carebearlove to the enemies 3, YOU are the one quilty for not having fun Sorry chap. Its not about Shiva, its not about "Tech 2" its not about what ship you have. This game can never throw "fun" on you. You play this game against other players. Its your interaction with them that counts, not your interaction with the gameenvironment. Explore! Be creative! Maybe you are stuck in old wheeltracks about what you can do or what you want to do. * -"You know, we play the "good guys" right? There is a certain amount of satisfaction with planning and executing an event, and you'll enable other players who are having similar misgivings to have something to do that isn't provided by CCP. CCP is from what I've seen a great company, from their prompt responses to the playerbase to the execution of ingame events. The one thing you have to remember is that there are only so many CCP employees. Organizing events is a pretty difficult undertaking, especially when you have to consider that they have to think of how their event affects the storyline, getting folks together to run the event, to code/prepare it and to get the word out. In addition to this, I'm sure that several of the CCP employees are wearing 'Dual hats" , which means that some of the folks that are running events on the CCP end are also doing things like crushing bugs, working on new content, or officiating disputes. Eve has a great baseline for player-run events, from Combat tournaments, to find-the-object hunts, to mine-offs to any number of assorted special events to make our game more enjoyable. We can't rely on CCP for everything. In the interim of their special events, we should all take a more active role in making 'content' to have more fun. I even gave up my 6+ mill sp character for free b4 I left last time, thinking I'd never come back... But here I am... I guess out of all the MMO's I like this one best, mainly because of the game's potential & skill training system. CCP is notorious for dangling carrots in front of us, and when the carrot arrives, it's not as fat and jucy as they made it out to be. That is what disgusts me sometimes. This time around I paid for the 6 month sub, and am going to try and have fun, and not worry too much on how I dissagree with the DEV's...
