Growing up in the middle of Nowhere Arkansas, I've been around guns my whole life. I was probably 5 or 6 when I shot my first .22 (Of course I wasn't holding it by myself, pretty much Dad kneeling down and holding it while I stand between his arms and pull the trigger. But freaking awesome for a 6 year old!) Guns are perfectly safe around competent and non-stupid people. Besides, I'm never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down

In conclusion, don't be afraid to give your kids a swift backhand when they step out of line.
