TitanAE is no more. I was a member of this corp for a few days, and a friendlier bunch of miners and pirate-hunters I've never met.
Well, S******dly has been a longtime rival, and in TitanAE's final days had incurred many, many losses against the corporation. My own pod was one of those losses.
Snigg itself was very honorable, considering their chosen profession, and confirmed that the following account of the Titan/Snigg battle at EC-P8R Gate to be an accurate one.
I was informed that Titan had a successful blockade going at the gate in question, and warped in to join them in the effort to keep S******dly at bay. I had a personal vendetta against an experienced, ex-m0o member named Leila, and was hoping I would have the pleasure of getting her pod and settling the score, as she is a member of Snigg.
We camped the gate successfully for hours, as the only hostile we had contact with had been destroyed. We continually pursued obvious scouts, but held the gate with what at one time numbered at 25 ships.
As the evening grew later, we dwindled to about 20, and 5 ships left to accomplish other things. Our only excitement came when an Armored Assasins blockade-killer fleet showed up, but they let us remain after some deliberation considered we were killing their enemies.
Our numbers down to 15, we got wtfpwned by a fleet of 5 Snigg ships. 3 were BS's (all Dominix i believe) and quickly shredded our fleet by using upwards of 35 heavy drones against us in addition to their own weapons.
The decimation was horrific, and I was lucky to escape in my pod, my thorax being target #3 on the enemy list. Leila's hardeners and boosters kept her at 90% shields, even as I was "wrecking" her with my railguns.
We lost many ships, including at least 3 BS's, 3 Cruisers, and miscellaneous frigates.
The corp collapsed, as few of us were insured and all of us pulled from the corp hangar to replenish our losses. Some pilots were set back by weeks. TitanAE began negotiations to be annexed by Ghost Fleet and reaffirm their commitment to war against Snigg.
Watching Local, I made a discovery. After mildly discussing the various tactical failures on the part of my own corp (mostly me *****ing) with Leila and Nizzin in local, I watched with curiosity as Propehcy showed up. The "Official Voice of the Curse Alliance" himself. I watched as he made deals with them to sell Battleships to Snigg for millions less than their average prices.
Why would CA do this?I thought. Are they attempting to expand and penetrate Southern space, as well as their home in the North? It certainly makes tactical sense: having allies and eventually expanding so close to Venal puts them next door to the Jovian technological hotbed. Giving such a superpower Jovian benefits would be the political equivalent to giving an angry teenager a nuclear weapon and buying him a shuttle ticket to Caldari Prime to take his anger out.
I returned to my home systems to fight for my brethren. Other pilots left too, as they felt a CA involvement is a great reason to vacate.
So Propehcy, I must ask you, what are your intentions with Lonetrek region and its outlet to 0.0 space?
(perhaps this should be moved to Intergalactic Summit: Mods you make that call  )

And to set the record straight, when we attacked the camp there were 5 bs's, 4 cruisers, and a couple frigs. We jumped in with 6 battleships and blew up all 5 bs's and 4 cruisers. I think the frigs got away.
The members of TitanAE have annoyed us so much in the last few months that we will continue to kill them until they leave the area or pay us 250 million isk. Joining the ranks of Ghostfleet will not keep them safe in Pureblind.

Ok i was on the CoG chat channel after this happened and i couldnt believe what i was hearing,u guys got wtfpwnd with those odds??? I was thinking to myself "who commanded that?" if so the communication was bad,the execution was appauling and who the hell gate camps for that long? its soooo dull,also the amount of arguing whos fault it was after u got wtfpwnd *sighs*
All credit to Shamis and his bunch of merry men for teaching u guys a lesson,but come on..those odds and against dominix's,fair enuf the amount of drones but it is the weakest bs in eve even after the patch.Also i'd like to say going newhere near a battle with no insurence is a bad idea,its ur own fault and u let ur corp down by leaving.
I shall like to see the ongoing war with S******dly who are a bunch of good fighters from what i have seen and heard and i shall enjoy fighting them once again,cya on the field Shamis :)

Oh really, by no means was I defending him. He got blown up in probably an easily avoidable situation, and regardless of whether his information was true or not. The point of his post was a request for information, not your pity..

If he was solely directing a question upon people he would have in no way mentioned his loss.
Also, try working on putting quote brackets in the correct places.

We only ever saw 3 BS's. If Snigg used 6, they probably killed us before we ever even saw the other 3. The only 2 that I saw were Nizz and Leila, and the rest were just names with blaster fire coming from them.
Oh well, it's not my problem. I left the region to rejoin my Intaki brethren. I wish both sides the best of luck, as I respect both of them greatly.

To set the record exactly straight - we got one of their interceptors too - I think their only survivors were a crow and a frig who warped away as soon as the gate activated.

that really wasn't me, i had a few clones activated early to act as body doubles. For security reasons............
They do most of my light work, ie: killing our war opponents and fetching items that i buy from time to time. I just normally sit back and let them do all the work. The real me is just a fat pig sititng behind a desk in the middle of a moon on the edge of known space. Where i give orders to my body doubles, eat pizza, and order female minmatar mail order brides to add to my herim. |

Well it's nice to know my raven was thought to be a dominix after all they both can pop out the same amount of drones right? lol i can only put out 6drones but you see we are very organized and that was your downfall. You were all targetting a different person while i only had like 2bs on me and the damage they were doing wasn't enough to hurt me. I'll let you keep thinking we were all in doms if that is what you want but the truth is when we had said "when you come in first thing you do is drop drones" to get the cruisers and frigs i can see how the sea of drones confused you. I had the pleasure of calling the targets in that battle and i couldn't call them fast enough we had primary and secondary and by the time my first volley of torps hit they were both dead. I believe the final total was 3apoc 1arma 1dom destroyed on your end and yes the most hurt person in our fleet had lost their shields and had 95% armor (they were an armor tank setup so shields don't really matter). BTW those of you that joined ghost fleet thank Screamer for that rax again :) One of my very few safespot finds in ec i just started looking for a thorax 18,000km from planet 9 and there screamers rax was.

I am on holiday right now, and although I was involved in that battle and still managed to miss the whole thing..evil lag.. I do know for a fact that titanAE did not collapse as it is being reported here, but most of our corp merged with our long-standing allies- Ghost Fleet. And this was not entirely as a result of this battle, but the battle did help us to see that we would work better as 1 cohersive unit rather than remain split up into 2 corps. As I said I am on holiday but before I left titanAE was still alive with some members staying to keep it alive and go their own way.

Ahh Snigg, good times, albeit a bit short =(. Wish I cared a bit more weither my ship and pod gets blown to bits or not.

congrats s******dly, AWM had a 3 vs 5 with these guys but we didnt manage to take any down, they really pack on the stabs eh.

there are a number of things completely screwed up about this thread, no disrespect to Korben but he aint the most informed person in Titan and the Merge was not in anyway formed from this one defeat. We are long standing friends of Ghost fleet and we thought it mutually beneficial to merge together we thought it would help in our fight against snigg yes but we didnt do it because of them. A large fact was that the majority of the fleet was not of Titan origin and was made up of some people who were a) along for the ride or b) had a problem with S******dly.
and as to this CA funding I told my corp that it would not at all be funded by CA as this made no damn sense. It was only a few people who believed this but i believed i had made it clear that it was not true.
This thread was completely pointless as the openning statement was made up of false information.
