Okay Okay, I know this question has been asked. I've seen it once myself, but can't seem to find the thread. I'm also apparently not smart enough to do the calculation using the formula max runs on invention, but the again one of the variables is max runs for T2 BPO. In either case, does anyone have a list of maximum runs possible on a T2 invention. (Frigates, Cruisers, Battleships...) Also, looking to find out if I need to create max run BPCs to obtain those invented T2 BPCs. (I.e. Max run Battleship BPC Invention to T2 Battleship generates 1 run T2 BPC is it really worth making a max run T1 BPC?) Thank you for all your help and again sorry. I know this has been answered elsewhere. |

It all comes down to whether you use a decryptor when doing invention. Using a max run tech 1 BPC or a 1 run BPC without using a decryptor will give you a 1 run tech 2 BPC if successful.
Max run tech 1 BPC for :
Frigate 30 runs Cruiser 15 runs Battleship 10 runs
Anything less than the above (i.e. 29 run Frigate BPC) would NOT be considered max run.
The difference with using a max run BPC as opposed to a 1 run BPC, is when using a decryptor you get the decryptor bonus +1 run.
When using a 1 run BPC + a decryptor you just get the decryptor bonus.
The max run you can get for a Tech 2 BPC is 10, 1+ the +9 decryptor when using a Max run BPC.
Decryptor Properties Decryptor Name Probability Max Run Modifier ME Modifier PE Modifier Amarr Caldari Gallente Minmatar 0.6 +9 -2 +1 Circular Logic Interface Alignment Chart Symbiotic Figures Circuitry Schematics 1.0 +2 +1 +4 Sacred Manifesto User Manual Engagement Plan Operation Handbook 1.1 0 +3 +3 Formation Layout Tuning Instructions Collision Measurements Calibration Data 1.2 +1 +2 +5 Classic Doctrine Prototype Diagram Test Reports Advanced Theories 1.8 +4 -1 +2 War Strategon Installation Guide Stolen Formulas Assembly Instructions

What about drones and ammo? Those are the ones I haven't worked out yet and often don't get mentioned.
Max run t1 drone bpc = ? run t2 drone bpc

Drones are same as modules (without decryptors and max run T1 BPC you get 10 run T2 BPC). Ammo is again the same as modules, but instead of 100 units per run you will get 5000 units per run. So a 10 run T2 BPC will get you a total of 50000 units of ammo. |

The minimum you will get will always be one run, so if you are not using a +runs decryptor and you plug your max runs BPC into the formula, and find you get 1 run still, then there's no reason not to just use a single run input.
In case you work it out:
Invention Output Runs = min(max( round down ( (Input BPC Runs / T1 Production Limit) * (T2 Production Limit / 10) + Decryptor Runs ), 1), T2 Production Limit) |
