Edited by: Slade Trillgon on 14/01/2009 11:22:43 I have heard of these guys before, but I never checked them out. I am now a little sad that I have not given them a chance in the past. But that is the way of an avid music lover; sometimes bands just get left in the dust.
I was listening to this song, and I got a heavy sensation of Speultura (one of my all time top 5 metal bands) from them. I found this song to be very deep, dark, and death like, yet it had a pretty heavy power groove. I then went to BNR Metal Pages, potentially the best metal album reference page out there, and found the the vocalist/guitarist of Gojira, worked on the Cavalera Experiences' first album. Cavalera Conspiracy is the recent reunification of the Cavalera brothers; the founders of Sepultura and their first album together since 2002. Those two guys are pretty savvy businessmen, but I will not go into that.
Good stuff Rondo, and I will pick up their first album when I get off of work

"From Mars To Sirius" is also very recommended. It's got this whole theme too it that is, well, you'll have to hear it. It's great stuff, and very different. |

This music is somewhat more inspirational and christian than I have come to expect from metal.
e.g: "Follow, I enter my dimension, awakened heart for life Enforce my senses, I'm understanding, I find the will to live straight"
Is... is he telling me to learn to love myself and avoid self destructive behavior? I don't think I can condone that kind of message. In before Ralara. |

Nooo, if it was emo the message would be to go cut yourself and huddle in a corner.
I don't see why all metal has to be about sex, drugs, death, and blah. Creativity is part exploration. Not stale replication. |

So what type of music do you take seriously?

Albeit that I am not real sure what is considered EMO rock, I do not really think that this falls into that catagory. Then again I am an old school metal head so I missed that whole EMO thing.
11. Wolf Down The Earth
First of all you will eat all the bodies No matter they pray for freedom they'll kill you Forward you crush those going backward The wolves are now your lords Voracious flames upon the earth
Second step you eat all the creation Swallow the trees the lakes and all the valleys Crush the moon, and drink the rivers flowing Deep rolling ocean blow Burning all that lives
They teach you how to conquer and rule the world The towers that you built so strong, no man can touch They tell you how to find and raise the fears and let them grow inside of your heart they need no walls
Is there a chance you face the void inside? Winds of doom will blow your pride away
Behold the bright lights coming down on time Before these altars black, made from your sacrifice You take for granted what's been there for ages Inside the womb the new blood gets ready to fight
The buildings of our fathers crumbling in dark vibrations Wolf down the one that made us all No hope, you wolf down the earth
9. Esoteric Surgery
You have the power to heal yourself
All illness can be healed the cell regenerates disambiguated situation There is a secret code in the structure of the mind You have the power to heal yourself
Flesh bodies mute and blinded roaming uncertain, lost infected misinformed Releasing a black enormous insect out from the chest archaic form disease
Esoteric surgery a dissection of the soul Unsuspected precise power on the wounded astral body projected beam of light
All illness can be healed the cell regenerates disambiguated situation There is a secret code in the structure of the mind You have the power to heal yourself
Suspended floating in empty spaces Descending swift like a fire running down Obstruction disintegration life force overcoming all circumstances Release the pain
This music is not to far lyrically from HATEBREED
2. Perserverance
I know your fear of loss And your struggles with faith And how it takes everything that you have to face the day The virtues you possess now bring you eternal pain All you have is contempt for a life you can't obtain All your heroes have failed you Yet you try and prevail Face your torment and dismantle your doubt Refuse this legacy of shame and deceit Cause the only real truth in your life that you know is hostility
Your world is coming apart Remain steadfast
Perseverance Against all opposition Crushing all limitations Pure strength through solitude Discipline and determination
You can't accept what you've been told Anchored in sin you must reverse your descent Declare the weight of the world has yet to claim you And admit that your faults will not restrain you Glimpses of fate bring light to your despair Realise hope isn't short of your grasp Resurrect every dream that you've buried alive And never succumb to the war that you fight in your heart
Your world is coming apart Remain steadfast
Perseverance Against all opposition Crushing all limitations Pure strength through solitude Discipline and determination
