You've all seen them before. Drifting in the vast depths of space, abandoned and left to perish alone after a brief period of service - this is the fate of a vast number of drones in the Eve Universe.
Often overworked, used and abused by unkind employers, living in harsh conditions without a word of kindness, thrust from one dangerous situation to another - is it any wonder that after being left in the cold vastness so many of these drones go rogue?
Here at the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Drones we are trying to stop that, one drone at a time. Collecting these drones from the darkness one at a time, putting them on the path to a better future, finding them employment with more caring pilots, giving them a sense of self worth and fulfillment; thats the core of what the SPCD stands for. But we cant do it alone.
It takes help from people like you to get the silicon, synthetic oil, drone parts, and repairs to help these poor drones have a better future, a promising future.
So the next time you see one of these abused and forgotten workers left on their own to perish, pick it up, send it to us, let us give it the counseling and positive reinforcement it needs to go on, and have a brighter future. Or help us out by sending a few isk our way to enable us to provide the warm, dark drone bays these bright souls require to recover from the psychic wounds inflicted by an uncaring pod pilot.

Maybe drones do not want your assistance, did you every think of that? Of course not. The modern drone these days is all about self-determination and is not looking for handouts. This sort of assimilationist thinking belongs in the past, SPCD has heart in the right place but is a product of a bourgeois elite which is very much out of step with the day-to-day concerns of drones. |

I rescued some cruelly abandoned drones from an asteroid belt the other day.
They'd clearly been abused. They were all but catatonic. I scooped them into my ships cargo-hold and won their trust with high grade oil.
What was my reward for this act of kindness?

The Rogue Drones are way ahead of you. They collect the abandoned simpler drones and adopt them to their hives, giving them a prospect for the future to overthrow the human enslavers and create a meat-free paradise in New Eden. All the SPCD does is keep the drones stagnant and without ambition like a true slaver, wanting docile and obedient servants.

I've rescued drones on various occasions left behind by mission runners. I've given them a nice little home in a station container together with drones obtained through *cough* other means *cough*. They seem to get along quite well. Should I ever have drones that fail to reintegrate through these means I will keep your organization in mind
