So I was on vacation and we had this canopy set up over where we were camping and late one night a bat came in and decided to make it his new cave. I would get in his way as he flew around underneath the canopies and finally he got tired and hung from one of the bars. I got my pillow case and captured him. He had about a 30 cm wingspan and I'm not sure what type he was. I let him go a little bit later after I took him away from camp, I didn't want guano in my pillow case. |

Since you dont know what kind it was, if you got any scratch or abrasion from the animal go to a hospital and get a rabies shot. Its very unlikely you will get rabies from a bat (only the blood sucking ones carry it) but once symptoms for rabies shows, it is 100% fatal, symptoms typically show up several weeks after infection.

We are still working out the last tidbits of how they can be over taken, what is the penalty of having a sentry gun kill a n00b etc. and we have been a bit busy with plugging the holes that people have found.I would say that you'd start to see these items on the market in about 2-3 weeks, very expensive to begin with |

Last year here the UK, a man who found a bat near his house picked it up and it bit him, he took it to a sanctury and the bat was ok but the man died of Rabies.

So I woke up today and realized the pillow was smelling kind of funny, so I took the pillow case off and looked inside and there was the bat. It was dead. I guess when I went to let it go it didn't actually escape and I just saw a different bat fly away. So it turns out I've been sleeping these last two days with a dead bat in my pillow case.

Oh, and I have to admit, I lied in the first post. I didn't actually let the bat go. When I caught him I didn't think I had actually caught him so I threw the pillow case on my sleeping bag. Later when I put the pillow case on my pillow it started making noises so I began to beat it against the ground and at the time another bat had entered the canopy. So I thought it had escaped. Turns out I had actually beat the bat in my pillow case to death.

i was watching the "horror" movie bat¦s a while back one late night just sitting there in the dark watching movie as something flew by the screen i was like ^^ nahh just your imagenation.. 2nd time it flew by i was like hmmm nahhh still just your own paranoia 3rd time when it flew by and made a little noise  so i turned on the light and yes it was a bat it was just sitting on the window curtains so i slowly got up got some paper then i softly grabbed it and helped it outta the house. but before letting it go i looked at the "huge scary beast" smiling over that this little fellow scared the **** outta me  was kinda cute but i dident wanted to touch it cos iwe heard they can carry alot of dangerus disseieses. so i let the little fellow go and returned to the movie
Who needs a shovel when you have a nice big cannon?

I'm in Real Estate, and i was showing a house to some people. As we were leaving we saw something in the drive way. We got a stick and poked at it and it was a half dead bat laying there in the middle of the day. Kinda odd.
