xxxak	Posted - 2009.01.14 22:11:00 - [1] Edited by: xxxak on 14/01/2009 22:11:57 Giving MOMs one or two dreadnaught weapon slots (maybe unbonused?) would give them the extra buff they need over a standard carrier, without making them God-ships vs entire fleets (like a Titan should be). Also, maybe supercaps should be giving a web-bubble. That would shake things up and make them come out to play more.

I don't know about you, but my Mom didn't go around beating up kids that tried to mess with me. I did that myself and then went crying back to her when I got my ass in deep **** and she put bandages on my skinned kneecaps. Thats a Mom. You want a supercap with guns, fit a Titan with cap guns and see how that works for you.
Ashani Tazuki Gallente VisionEight	Posted - 2009.01.14 22:39:00 - [3] surely the ability of mom's is the more fighter drones? better tank, better cap, better fittings? im not that big on fleet combat, never tried it, but from what i understand mom's are more fleet support, i mean u don't even have to be in the fleet fight do you? you can assign your drones to different pilots as fighters can warp, and spend your time moving around safe spots. thus acting as a mobile repair station if its equipped with the right modules.

Being able to equip only two on a Mom would just cause comedy on killmails when people start laughing at how the Mom was trying to shoot a Hictor with gigabeams.

Give them a special power to combine their 8 small hardpoints together - like the mighty Voltron - in order to mount a capital weapon. Maybe give them more high slots for salvagers as well.

I'm thinking... New ship class called ERADICATORS!!!!! that are T2 Dessys, can fit 1 cap weapon with 100% bonus to damage per level and 10% bonus to range. They are like Dessy sized stealth bombers but with TURRETS!!!! Could work together to take down caps and very very painted BS. Brilliant! Wait, what?

Theres a reason why dreads have a siege mode. Moms and carriers are about logistical utility. You're trying to meld the function of the dread and carrier together. Eve is about specialization.
