i got a question, does anyone that is reading this post use large proj gun's in past 4 weeks
i ask as i am a minmatar BS person only, i use large proj guns only, and about 4+ weeks ago i was getting rare wreaking shot's of 700-850(when my gun's could hit a NPC BS)
in the past 2 weeks though i haven't been able to get any shot's(even wreaking shots) past 300, the highest i have gotten is about 270, now i don;t know if ALL the gun's got this decrease, but i can't hunt like this now.
does anyone get better shot's at the moment in game using any of the large gun's? ((also i have done test's using phased plasma ammo, and titanium sabot ammo with my 1400mm guns, rangeing from 90+ km's down to 20km's, and still nothin better than 300, so it's nothing to do with faulty ranges))
anyone know what's happening out there?>?

There's gotta be something up with that, as I'm getting standard 300 damage shots from my Tachyon Beams, and wreckings as high as 688 damage in the last few weeks.

I have the same low powered hits, best wrecking is around 300, shots generally hit for around 100-150. This is with 1200mm's when they hit at all.
That's with 2 x Tracking Enhancer II's and 1 x Gyrostabilizer II ----------------------------------- A gun and a packet of sandwiches.

3 tech II dmg mods, 3 tech II tracking mods (1 med and 2 low slot). Tracking still pretty much sucks. Damage is good though when I hit. I use 1400 guns with both EMP and phased plasma. I also use a mega now. 425's are still pretty good after the patch, long range, great ROF and good damage. Add the mega's tracking bonus and you got a much better long range rig then the tempest.

erm i've only just trained up min BS and got my tempest now, got min BS 2, large proj 3, and some reasonable gunnery skills most in the 2-3 category aside from gunnery which is 5. I've been using mostly proton and fusion ammo recently, against sheilds proton are pretty good most shots hitting for 200 dam and wrecking at 6-800 against armour with fusion i've had 1000 wrecking shots and most shots between 2-400 i got one named tech1 tracking comp and a named gyro in the bottom... i almost never miss a npc BS... maybe i've just been lucky

i think someone changes the minmatar skills to work one day and to suck the next and its on a cycle so ur skills dont matter. its bad enuff that everyone thinks of the minmatar as the laughing stock of the universe but for ccp to mess with our heads by messing with the projectiles as much as they do is just wrong

I agree and if I could hit anything with my projectiles I would be the fist one to shoot at CCP.

You all seem to be ignoring that:
1: Different NPCs have varying resistances to your weapons. You may be comparing damage on different NPCs. 2: Unless I'm mistaken, the resistances of NPCs were recently tweaked to make them harder to kill.
So... try different ammo and try matching your ammo to the particular NPCs.

I have tested damage using 1400s and 800s on tempest also - and found them to be wanting. close range setup I have been hitting armor tanked apoc for 50-80. Long range setup I have been hitting armor tanked apoc for 100-150.
However, I fit shield tanked tempest (1large tech2, 1em,1thermal, 1amp) and apoc will do 200-300 damage on my shields - with a much quicker rof (and more turrets)- in fact so much so that my shields drop very fast (along with my cap). Something is definitely out of whack - as with both of these tests I have used 2 tech2 gyro and named tracking computer and/or tech2 enhancer + I should get a damage bonus, and the damn apoc still out damaging me :/
wouldnt be so bad, but I can sit there all day firing ammos at the apoc and will still not take it down due to him being able to repair all the damage I do, whereas after a couple of minutes of him beating on me I have no cap and no shields and Im going home in a bodybag unless I get out of dodge.

I use 1400mm, effectivly,BS lvl 4, 2x t2 tracking comps, 2x t2 gyro get a dmg mod of about 9.5. have about 13mill sp and i am a science geek, if you shootin at amarr style rats, ie apoc and arma's you gotta use thermal or emp dmg against them, they tank kinetic and explosive, at the right range i usually hit between 200-400 on armor with 1000 wrecking shots, againts hull i get 600ish. I use PP ammo, seems to work best, when your getting 50dmg hits on an armar something is wrong

prolly CCP intedet doing something funny and expekted to all tempest pilots to do that "thing" they intendet ( staying at 50km+ from enemy)
but they prolly missed some IMPORTANT steps 
and one of them whuld be the damage and another whuld be the simpple fackt that tempest pilots whuld need 50km+ warpscrambles    -------------------------------------------

prolly CCP intedet doing something funny and expekted to all tempest pilots to do that "thing" they intendet ( staying at 50km+ from enemy)
but they prolly missed some IMPORTANT steps

yes, something is wrong....or are the majority of tempest pilots - including very experienced ones just not setting up their ships properly?
at optimal range using 1400s I get the same hits on an apoc as he gets on me - difference is he has more lasers, and much greater rof - whereas my ship gets a rof and damage bonus - go figure   
and yes this is using 2gyro2 and 1 enhancer2 and optical tracking.
