just a quick question to see if anyone knows the answer to this..
If a pirate -5 Sec status person is in a gang of people in Security space.. and lets say i shot only at that pirate.. he shoots back and as we have seen the sentry's kick his booty for us.. but does this mean the rest of his gang can shoot me?
i ask this because of the new problems -5 sec players face today

technically yes. but its bugged and doesnt work and they'll get the sentries on them, but most people can tank the sentries from anywhere from 30seconds to 4mins so careful when you do that

no, being in a gang does not qualify you at all to shoot anyone who is allowed to shoot one gang member.
say A is criminal flagged due to being an outlaw and is in gang with B and C. Player D starts shooting A, which he is allowed, (A would be wasted by sentries on defending) but B and C are not allowed to legally shoot A.
Generally: being in a gang does flag you towards anyone who has legal claims on one member of the gang, however they need to shoot you first before you can defend yourself.
