I am doing my best to fit up and apoc and a raven to do dps and tank, I want to do both.
I always fall short on the raven in cpu and the apoc in powergrid...
CCP please lower mod req just a little bit please. I am sure there are others out there that have played for a while that bang their heads off their keyboards setting up ships...oh so close.
Reward us for maxing our fitting skills.  |

Exactly how are you trying to fit those ships? I've never flown the Apoc, but with the Raven I have never experienced any problems with CPU or PG requirements. Must be your skills. |

Yeah really I should be able to fit out a Brutix that not only does 800 DPS but TANKS 800 DPS too ffs. Reduce all CPU grid reqs by a factor in the vicinity of ten to eighty.

make sure you have weapons upgrades and advanced weapons upgrades to 5 .... then rethink your topic...
if it was super easy to have both dps and tank what fun would the game be?
you can have either or, but not both.
besides, fitting ships is sometimes more intertaining than flying them.

Sorry not talking about doing a little dps and a little tanking, I am tanking about having a good tank for low sec pewpew and still fitting 3 bcu2 and siege 2.
It is not a skill issue since I am at 80m, it is just a fitting issue. Really it just boils down to you can have either a great tank in the game and do ok dmg or you can do great dmg and only have a bit of a tank for buffer. I want both.

Not only that, but fitting ships is not supposed to be easy. You should not be able to just grab a box of T2 parts, slap them on a ship, and waltz out of the station with the meanest ship around.
Not only that, but I'm not certain what the issue here is, as no fit is ever going to be omnipotent, even in mission running you can get overwhelmed by high alpha up to as much as 3600dps sometimes if you fubar the aggro pulls or some such. So what you must really be asking, is for CCP to nerf the rest of the game so any fit you use will be able to hold its own... which is simply not going to happen...

The fact that even with maximum skill you still need to compromise between damage and defence is a good thing in my view

I don't know what you're on about - i can fit an apocalypse for tank/gank mission-style np....
And i know there are lots of people that can do the same to a raven....

Op can always stick a crystal or slave set in his head. Crystals make a gank raven tank like a God so just don't get podded..

The only thought that has been going through my head since reading has been "sooooo, when did you buy this account?" At 80mil sp you already know how things work and know ccp's response. In fact, why was this a post or did you just have a need to use up a few bytes of server space to make a "im not getting my way" post.

LOL more and more when i read these forums and the replies ppl get the more i feel like i am on the WoW forums, good job there.
I see some ppl on here get it, others don't. Thats ok.
We all know how the game works, never said any diff, All I am say is it would be nice to have that little extra is all. |
