As I haven't seen a thread to date figured I would start one. What skills does everyone think are going to be needed to get into T3 production? Granted probably most of the stuff for T2 but was wondering if maybe they'd require some archealogy or something? Right now I'm imagining T3 as a gateway into Jovian technology... purely speculation...

I've with Ricdic, he guesstimated rigging. It makes the most logical sense given what they want to do with T3. |

I'm guessing on the ancient racial technology skills. My alt should have them all to lvl 5 before the expansion is out. |

dont see any logic in that as the parts are from the current ships/races new racial books to t3 building would make more sense.

The actual fanfest presentation stated that the systems would be filled with ancient stuff, that would offer the key to T3.... |

The only things even remotely certain are the four "ancient tech" skills... and Industry 5 is almost a given.
Barring that, it might just be a case of brand-new skills needed (which will be available either on the market or from wormhole exploration itself), prerequisites of which are only guesswork at the moment.

I guess there will be a bunch of pwned people once the T3 stuff is released.
I mean, instead of playing normally, many people are training "useless" stuff just in case its useful for T3 and take an advantage. Others will just lol at them about their wasted time.

That is what I mean, those ancient skillbooks are pricy and this does remind me a lot of the racial encryption books before invention did hit us ingame. people trying to get their hands on them and so push the prices up more, this without knowing for sure if these are the books you need, its very good possible that new ancient books are going to be seeded somehow ingame.

Getting my alt ready for T2 invention (ready being as much as possible all required skills to level 5. If this is not needed fine I'll stick to invention. If these skills are used in some way great I have a good start.
Any other skills is pure speculation, and currently just as likely to be a total waist of time as a very wise training plan.
Sticking to what you know will make you money regardless of a future release is a safe course fo action, if that is all covered then you might want to give the more speculative trainings a try but before you have it all done you are most likely just waisting your time. |
