you think it's a problem with the game?
as the old adage goes: "Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity."
that stupidity part is you.

So, honestly, what's the first thing YOU think about when you wake up?

Mine is usually along the lines of "****. ****. how much did I pay that woman after?"
Edit for OP: Train a long skill and go outside.

What happens when you consume drugs and play an MMO? Chemical Transcendence?

Scheduele your gaming time seriously sure you will want to play like 5-6 hours on a straigt for ops and such but atleast plan your sessions and dont scheduele to play all that often. If you do this you will be able to focus on your art,(however you will paint alot of spaceships... dont know why (-: )

I was getting like that. The wife pointed it out to me, so i liquidated all my assets, transfered the cash to a friend and biomassed my Main, my Trader Alt and my Mission Alt.
I started up a new Mission toon and a new PVP toon, and took back 1/2 the cash i gave to my friend (just so that grinding wasnt needed) Now, because i cant fly well fitted T2 ships, my chars sit in station training, and im off spending time with my familly.
When summer rolls around and my kids are outside playing and my wife is down her allotment till the sun sets, i'll have time to play, and my skills will be getting back to a reasonable level.

I never had much of a social life to begin with. Never have been one to have groups of friends. I play this game and recently started a trial of age of conan. But i still go to work full time then i go home and play or watch a film. I am not addicted to any game, i play them loads and dont get enough sleep for work but i survive. Plus i am single so no nagging girlfriend. I must get future girlfriend to play eve with me so it will be perfect

The best thing is to get some courage and resolve your rl issues. It'll take time away that you now spend on EvE and it might result in feeling less obsessed with EvE. You might even start liking the life outside of EvE again.. |

You just need to find a balance.
Set a limit to how long you will play each day. Videogames can be addictions too.

The 5day trial got me back, after quitting for financial reasons (in short, I was an idiot for quitting a perfectly fine job 10 mins from my home, part time!.)
Now I have the same job back, coworkers are cool, one is incredibly hot, sexy and is friendly to me and I work 35h a week now.
So Hi again eve, and hello alt meta gaming account oO |

Edited by: Frederic LeFrench on 17/01/2009 00:46:50 Even 30 minutes of daily exercise (i.e., a fast walk) can/will have a tangible effect on your mood and general tendency towards lethargy or avoidance. Just after a week of that, you'll notice your food cravings will get healthier, you'll feel 'lighter' or more responsive in a physical sense.
Don't try to rationalize it away; just do it (for three weeks?) and compare your state of mind, pre and post.
