Good Afternoon
Firstly I would like to apologise if this is in the wrong forum. I didn't see one more appropriate.
I would like to know if it is possable to run two fullscreen eve clients on my dual monitor setup. I would also like to know how this is done.
At the minute the problem im having is only one fullscreens at a time. WHen I move over to fullscreen the other client the first one minimises.
I am using Vista Ultimate x64 and I already have Ultramon installed.
Thanks in advance. |

I believe evemon has a feature that removes borders from eve in window mode, you should be able to make it so eve is running in window mode but covers the whole screen, so for all intents and purposes looks full screen. I don't believe you can run 2 full screen apps at once, even with 2 monitors (think the 1 app will try to cover both).
You'd also have to check to see if your graphics adapter will support 3d acceleration on both monitors, I recall mine only allows for 3d stuff on 1 of the 2. |

WoW thanks for the super swift reply.
I'l give that a go.
My graphics card is an 8800GTS, it definately supports 3d graphics on both screens. I can do it already with eve on windowed mode, I just dont like it.
I'l post back with the results. |

Actually Evemon can only handle EVE running on a single monitor. EVEmover had no issues moving different instances of EVE on different monitors. However EVEmover does not appear to work with vista 64 as the OP states they have.

EveMON will manage what you want, but it's a bit cumbersome for two monitors.
I recomend Gamers Window Relocator. It does the same, but is less fussy about dual monitors. |

About the best that you are going to get is two windowed applications that each fill an entire screen.
I have a similar graphics card, and I found that if I connected one of my monitors via VGA instead of DVI, I got more options available for windowed mode resolutions, and could thereby select a resolution that closely matched the available size of a monitor. |

I wrote my own app for that purpose, does that make me a geek? |

Edited by: Camilo Cienfuegos on 16/01/2009 14:22:12 EVEMover is probably the best of breed when it comes to these applications. You can download it from the site above or using this direct download link.
Make two copies of eve, preferably on seperate HDDs & IDE/SATA channels. Launch each in turn, setting them to run in windowed mode at a resolution matching that of your monitor. Once done, launch EVEMover and just drag and drop the appropriate instances onto the picture of the monitor on which you want it to run.
Small, fast and effective. Works great on my dual ATI 3870s. |

Wow. So many great responses.
Thank you everyone for taking the time to try to help me.
Unfortunatly I couldnt get EvEmon to work the way I wanted. It kept selecting things on the wrong screen and bombing out my computer.
I shall try some of the other suggestions and post back results.
Thanks again. |

Correct, EveMover doesnt appear to support Vista64. It encounters an error as soon as the program starts up and advises restarting.
Hoever, Gamers Window Relocator worked a treat. It comes in x64 native and works absolutely perfectly.
Thank you to everyone. I appreciate it.
