I was playing EVE and all of a sudden I black out (in-game) I restart the computer, and relog, the same thing happens again and again, so I ask someone what to do, he says that my graphics card is outdated and I should get a new one, so I go to Nvidia.com and download a new graphics driver, un-install EVE and then install it again. So after I download it I install it and then attempt to play it, the screen with the armageddon and the slashers comes up fine but when the EULA comes up the screen goes white where the EULA should be, I click the place where 'Accept' would be and I get the next screen all messed up and white and stuff, I guess where the login and password box is and log in, and the character selection is also white, please help.

Hey bow, The only time i've seen a white screen is when i first installed eve without realising I needed a dx9 compatible card (doh!).
Did you install another game recently which installed a previous version of DX? I 've reinstalled older games which asked to install an older version. Try running "dxdiag" from the...er...run box and see what happens. If you have problems you might try upgrading to DX9c to see if that helps.
I'd say it's unlikely to be the cards drivers, especially as the new ones didn't work either.
Hope to see you soon :)

Well, I un-installed the driver, but now I have no Graphics card but I will install it first thing tommorrow, because it is one a.m. at the moment, even though I have a nasty feeling about leaving my character un-trained (just reached drones 5). Oh, and by the way, I have Directx9 so the driver must be faulty, hope to see you as soon as possible. -----------

I've done some testing, and I've found out that in my case (I have a GeForce4 MX 440 Bios 4.18.20.22)
I needed the version 56.72 running DirectX9.0b.
You can find more nvidia drivers (the archive) here : http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.html
Yeey, I can play again.
