Sorry if this is already posted.
Thinking about creating another character (caldari) for covert ops, etc.... Is there really a "huge" difference between covops ships? Is it necessary to spend the time cross training races for the best ship? I know people will have their preferences but that don't always mean they are the best. Thanks. |

Honestly, they're much of a muchness.
They all use identical non-racial modules anyway (cloak, probe launcher, cyno).
The gallente one is short a high slot for a cyno but that's neither here nor there.

For me best is Helios and second is Anathema. The other 2 have too low PG for my tastes and i wouldn;t like to sacrifice a low for a auxilliary power since that would cost me speed or agility.
But at the end of the day good player > bad player no matter the ship. |

Am i right in thinking a lower inertia multiplier means faster alignment and acceleration? If so, then the Cheetah is quickest at 2.64 and Anathema slowest at 3.42. Also, Cheetah's max speed and cargo capacity beat the others.

I've flown them all and here's my take..
Buzzard - First covops I flew for a long time. Has nice CPU, and plenty of mids if you feel like fitting extra offline modules to change fitting on the fly (common with cov ops as you run out of CPU quick if you have a probe launcher).
Helios - Only 2 highslots is frustrating (I like putting a savager or a covert cyno on my 3rd high), but I like the fact that you have the drone bay. It may sound silly, but there are situations where you scan down ships that can't fight back (pods, haulers), and having that barely-there dps can sometimes come in handy. When this was based off the mallus model, I loved it as I thought it was the coolest looking covops in game. Since they changed it, I haven't really flown them much anymore.
Cheetah - Definitely nice for being fast, and a good choice all around, but I never flew them much because the others were fast enough for my purposes, and I preferred the looks of other ships more.
Anathema - My new favorite since the model change because, well, it looks badass. You can fit a MWD without a MAPC, and with speed mods 3km/s isn't hard. I really havn't flown any other covops in months. I love this thing.
Long post; short answer There's not a huge difference, pick whichever one you want. The caldari one works fine. The gallente one gets a drone but looses a highslot. The amarr one looks best.
