So I got the blurry text, dunno how since I can't remember changing the graphics settings in the first place but nevertheless... I find out how to make it good again gets to thinking while I'm at it why not make it perfect. Having a not so old computer, 8 months perhaps, I opt for the maximum resolution, or so I think...
Now I can see a fourth of the screen as it were and in no way can I move the cursor up to change the settings or raise a GM ingame. With the support it takes too damn long to get an answer, what can I do?

Try this -
Find the "prefs.ini" file in your EVE "cache" directory and open it in notepad. Around line #16 or so you should see a couple of entries:
desktopHeight= (your setting)
desktopWidth= (your setting)
Change those to say:
desktopHeight=768
desktopWidth=1024
then restart EVE and you should be back at the default resolution.. good luck.
PS - Don't get mad at me if it doesn't work or screws something else up, ok? :)

Follow his suggestion, it is a decent one. There is an option to correct text alignment in the Preferences btw. Another thing to think about is reinstalling... it would take you all of 15 minutes with patches and everything.

It's "Texel Alignment", has nothing to do with text, but it does fix the problem. Try changing the value on the slider, it's in-game when you press Esc and go to the Graphics portion.

With my Geforce 4 TI 4200 - I got the best results setting the texel alignment slider to 0.16

Otherwise download EveDudePlus from www.eve-i.com it allows you to change the settings outside the game (which is much easier if you can ready the screen in game)
