The application is called EvE Income Analyzer, it has been created by Carbon Freezer several years ago and published as Sourceforge project. The software is mostly useful to traders, it provides a number of eye catching graphs showing your profitability, your orders, your best sold items, the most profitable stations, the best hours of the day to sell and so on. I have ported it to Visual Studio 2010 and made a number of modifications so that it would run with the new API format and keys. Due to my ever pressing time constraints I am not going to be able and polish it. It works and itGÇÖs delivered as-is. If I get bug reports IGÇÖll try and fix them but please donGÇÖt ask for expansions or whatever. Instructions about how to use the software are available at the bottom of the Sourgeforge page linked above. I have created a specific page for EvE Income Analyzer Crucible Edition on my website, Vahrokh.com. I felt it was better to just host the whole available documentation, screenshots and downloads over there instead of torturing you and myself with this forum lack of features. Though I will reply to questions and feedback on this thread, not on my website. FAQ Q) Is it free? A) Yes, totally. Q) You did not change the original about / whatever A) I don't care. I am after functionality and have no time for frills, sorry. Q) May you add [Insert here exotic functionality] A) Probably not. My time is absurdly limited. Q) The program crashes with a .Net error. A) Please paste the whole blurb and make sure you have .Net installed to begin with. Q) Does this run on Mono? A) I have no idea but I think it does not, unless somebody ported MS Flex Grid and other things. Q) It shows a certificate expired popup A) In one year since the last update it will. It's normal, just ignore it. Q) I posted a question and my 20MB log dump on your website but I got no reply. I try using VS2010 as little as possible, because its bugs turn me nuts. One of those is a know bug they promised to fix with SP1 that affects projects that fail to build due to false missing certificates. After wasting about 1 afternoon I found a way to kick the donkey enough to make it compile, I don't want to risk breaking something "internal" again. No matter which privileges I set for an API key, the tool always reports that I still have to provide a userID or a keyID for authentication. Of course, everything worked flawlessly before, I didn't change anything that I'm aware of. Here's a screenshot of the error message. I'd gladly accept any help you can provide.

There are restrictions both in data age and quantity and they are enforced by EvE. If you start EIA (EvE Income Analyzer) today and keep using it say once a week, it will save the data in its database so even if EvE deletes your older records you don't lose anything. If I recall correctly the number of transactions stored by EvE is 1000, you have to use EIA more often than you create 1000 transactions. I'm assuming your firewall or antivirus software is blocking this because it may look like a virus/trojan is trying to dial home. That is, I'm assuming its not sending all our wallet data to Vaerah Vahrokha :)

What antivirus is it? What message does it show? I know some low end antiviruses complain against another software I have released but E.I.A. has never caused any alarm that I am aware of. The expected E.I.A. behavior is to download a little setup executable (compliant with the Microsoft "Click Once Install") which in turn downloads the rest of the application (if needed) or just updates it. As of now it looks like you did not enable enough checkboxes for the API key you provided. Furthermore I have encountered a rare-ish situation where the API key just won't work (neither in this software or others) and you need to create another. In particular, the installer either would not download or would download as a zero length file and thus it'd not work. I have checked what's the deal. The web site uses a dedicated downloads manager module to provide for downloads. That download manager's author did not get updates for a while and now it stopped working with the latest web site engine upgrades. I am working on a replacement download manager, which unfortunately won't import the old downloads and so I have to rewrite description pages, upload thumbnails etc. etc. from scratch. At the moment I have brought up this new EvE Income Analyzer download link. Please feel free to download the software from there. The new download link is generated by what originally was a premium content downloads manager. You might get errors about: - Download being expired for you. - Maximum allowed amount of downloads reached. - Requirement to be registered on the website. If this happens please and report here any issue you get and I'll work and fix it. Edit: there are also references to the download link scattered throughout the website, if you find any of those links and they are not updated, please report that finding as well.
