Yea yea...Just wanting to know if there's anyone out there whom may have found this to be worth the trouble or not.
I'm considering it since I'm too lazy to fly within range of every friggin' wreck in a mission.
Soon as mission is over and all rats dead per pocket, warp in Orca to clean up, send main on the way to start another mission. Seems viable to me...If it wasn't for this I'd probably NEVER pick up wrecks unless they are close to me...or I'd consider "selling" the wrecks for a few mil per mission... |

yea, that would work. I like to use a marauder, kill stuff faster and loot while doing it. but an orca would work. |

Therein is another part of the logic in it. Marauder is about 200 mil more expensive than Orca, and Orca has greater tractor range.
Only difference is the DPS output and tanking would be down a bit.
But the time saved in tractoring those wrecks at 70km is well worth it me thinks.

I'm using my Orca to tractor in all the wrecks, then I take out my Salvagecane and salvage everything really fast. Works very well. |

The bottleneck is how many salvagers you can have on wrecks at once.
A destroyer or hurricane can salvage very quickly, the hardest part whether you're using an Orca or destroyer/cane is keeping your target list full.
I find the Orca is just too slow to be practical - either have to drop off bookmarks to let the orca warp directly to the wrecks after mission handin, or wait an eternity for the big slow lump of lead to slowboat between jump gates. |

can put 7 tractors on a maruader, that and I think the afterburner/mwd speed of a marauder is a bit better than an orca. orca has bigger cargo though. |
