I mean, like, why would someone go with a premade ship when you could just make your own? Im just wondering if you can make your own ship, why ever fly another ship? *shrugs* |

Price. Pre-nerfing. Etc. We'll see how it plays out. |

If CCP wanted ships phased out they'd remove them from the game. |

Even if they're insanely awesome, they'll be way too damn expensive to replace anything for quite a while.
Being able to fly a slightly better ship at ten times the cost is not equivalent to replacement, sorry. |

I didn't say they were bad, I said if they wanted to phase ships out they would. Each ship has a use or purpose, even if that purpose isn't always for the members of the 100 Million SP Club to use them. Some ships are used by newbies until they get into something better, or to have a T2 hull or both. |

The Imicus is not a crappy ship, it is cheap ship a newbie can get into and mine or mission in, the 3 light scout drones help alot. For mining in .5 or .6 asteroid belt the navitas doesn't have the protection with 1 drone. To mission in, Highs 2 salvagers, or a salvager and tractor Medium AB Best cap recharger Low DCU Small armor repair
It works well on most missions but for blockade and going beserek, it really shines on missions that only have 4 or 5 targets that you really don't want to fly back to station and grab your best salvager boat. Prime example of this is the Digruntled Employee mission. 4 npcs 3 rogue drones and a 1 employee, sucky mission but with the Imicus send drones in and salvage. I almost always get atleast 1 or 2 tripped power circuits that sell for 60k more or less. |

By the looks of it theyll never become the norm, becuas they're seeded through 'wormhole' exploration, CCP can directly infleunce the amount of parts seeded over time, and they wont have bpos so they can't be mass produced.
I highly doubt youll see fleets of them, let alone small roaming gangs of them for months after their release, and even then, it wont be for PVP, becuase their cost will be directly proportional to their rarity.
All this is specualtion of course....But its not stopping me from maxing out my exploration skills ASAP

Yeah, because no-one flys a T1 hull when there are T2 hulls out there. |

highly doubt it
ccp has a good track record f pre-nerfing things (sometimes too much)
bottom line, they try to play it on the safe side with new ships ensuring they dont flat out replace other classes
whether this will involve their abilities directly or simply cost effectiveness we will have to wait and see ---------- "This is Chopper Dave's made for TV movie, Blades Of Vengeance. See, he's a chopper pilot by day, but by night he fights crime as a werewolf... YEAH!" |

I would bet they will be crap and useless as the t2 battleships. CCp simply seems too worried on not giving advantages for older players so they cannot create good ships anymore. Now their concept of balanced is to cost 10 times more and have 700-80% of the T1 version capability (see Black ops vs T1 battleships). ------------------------------------------------- If brute force doesn't solve your problem... you are not using enough

lol WHAt? not or PVP ? then for what? THose ships are cruiser sized. no one will use them for PVE at least almost no one. They wil be used for PVP, but very little because they willl be completely crap due to the almost sure uber pre nerfing. ------------------------------------------------- If brute force doesn't solve your problem... you are not using enough

Fact of the matter is that we know next to nothing of these ships. And I think they are geard towards this exploration stuff going. |

Put it this way: the CNR is flat out better than the Raven in every single respect. Yet there are orders of magnitude more Ravens than CNRs. |

I hate t1 ships now that I can fly any t2 ship.
As a matter of fact, the only t1 ships i fly are shuttles and industrials. |
