Just finished watching this movie, and wow. Instant classic in my book. Thought it was fantastic, and Clint Eastwood is the only guy who could write a movie with a racial slurr in every other sentence and not have anyone give a crap.
Awesome movie, loved the entire thing. Anyone else see it?

not watched it yet but heard great things about it, clint eastwood is a very good director, million dollar baby was an amazing film

Indeed. It was a great movie, I actually lol'd quite a bit during in it. The end was really good, not exactly what I expected but it was quite good. |

Dunno if / when it is coming out in the UK. Poster has already sold me though. Only Clint can be that old and still look that mean. |

Korean War Vet (Clint) refuses to leave his neighborhood that's being filled in by asians. Local asian gang causes trouble and ****es off clint and harasses his neighbors.

that said, after watching the previews for this movie, it's readily apparent it's going to be completely F***ing awsome

OUTSTANDING film. I don't think I've ever seen a bad film by/with Clint Eastwood in it. This and "Unforgiven" are on my all time favorites list.

I liked the part where he said racial epitaphs, and the part where he admired his car.
Seriously though, top-notch film.

Yeah, it was a good movie, no doubt.

But the ending was a little "Hollywood" still, i.e. must have a violent yet "lived happily ever after" ending. Don't get me wrong, I like it, I'm not immune to it's effects, but it does leave the movie in a lightweight class. |

I disagree. I liked the ending a lot...it was unexpected. Everyone was ready for the classic/expected/going-to-happen shoot 'em up scene where Clint goes in and blows the **** out of all the guys...and it just doesn't happen. They did something no one saw coming and I thought that was a nice touch.
Not that a "Clint pwns everyone" ending wouldn't have been good, but it was nice for once in my life to have a movie end in a way I didn't see coming an hour earlier. |

Hehe. I saw it coming. I guess I've seen too many movies not to.
But yeah, very good movie nevertheless, I'd give it an 8.5 at imdb. <checks> And look at that, that is exactly what its settled on with 22k votes. #90 on the top 250.
