post after post ive read: no place is 100% safe. gosh i guess that holds true to pirates and gankers too. better watch out for those sentry guns after you shoot someone, cause no place is 100% safe, even for pirates.
how about you go kill some npc in the belts, you might find a crusier worth 65k and have nice loot.
how about you look up an old friend, see how they are doing, have a nice friendly conversation. " ha,, yeah i just shot someone now i have to wait, but gosh it was fun hunting them down?
how about you shut up and quit complaining that you are being held accountable for your actions and end yourself.
would you complain if you shot someone at a store and then got shot at by cops tryingn to leave? did not think so. yeah yeah 'dont compair to real life'. its just an example to elaberate on the principle behind the idea. if this thread is flamed please lock it.

I've got to agree to a degree here.
All the time we hear people yelling at the carebears that 0.4 or whatever isn't safe and that reward comes with risk.
And anytime there's anything done to put in risk for the agressors themselves, it turns the forums into a flamefest.
Now I'm not saying I necessarily like sentries, I'd much rather have a graduated concord response than leave protecting space to overpowered sentry guns, but it does smack somewhat of hypocracy to whine that the police won't let you slaughter people and walk away like nothing happened.
You're getting your rewards - the loot to scavenge, the thrill of the kill, but you have to accept the price you pay for that.

it's hard to agree with the tone of the initial rant, but beneath the dense layer of forum-filth lies a valid point or two, cleverly disguised as trollage
i'm sure most pirates enjoy the challenge of avoiding sentries, and the variable range etc can only be a good thing. i dislike predictability of any kind in a game - it is a direct road to boredom.
there are a few ppl that have been ranting about low sec being unsafe and are now moaning about their own safety in low sec, which is fairly amusing really

indeed, i see your point, and the base underlying cause for the post ( despite being burried under tones of crap)
so hows about make the sentrys not so angry: 90-100km range, 10min timer, that does not stack, but resets. so, you could say kill 3 ppl in a 5 min period, but the clock only resets, not compounds making the wait time more like 15 min. that way the wait time is decreased, sentrys are still vigilant, and pirates and gankers can still do their thing, but still with risk if they try to leave.
