I have noticed something... A go to a new agent in the corp I work for, and within 2-3 days I have an implant. Then I keep doing missions for that same agent for two weeks, and nothing! Many many many important missions, yet nothing. Then I switch to another agent, and the pattern repeats! It's happened 5 times now.
Is it just me?

I am beginning to think the same thing. Although I have not come anywhere close to the realm of statistical impossibility I am currently in my longest drought for an implant. I bounced around to get a complete set and now that I have been back with my Per implant guy (quality 18) I've got nothing to show for a good week of running missions.

Nah mate, my first agent gave me 2 implants pretty close together before a longish drought. I stuck with him for a while and got another 4 implants out of him before moving to another corp. Got 1 almost immediately then another dry spell. Got another 2 and changed again. Took ages for first implant then got another pretty quick. Kept stats for all of it and ended up with an implant every 5-6 important missions. That average is consistent with a friend who is still doing missions and keeping more stats than I did over a longer period.

Which part of "random" is it that you people don't understand?
There is no guarantee or predictable frequency for implant drops - there only is an odd chance to get an implant mission for your important mission and most of the time, and THAT is the only predictable aspect of it, you'll get another mission instead.

Well, almost nothing is entirely random... Even things like clouds have semi-predictable structures.
I tried the same thing yesterday, and switched agent. Lo and behold, another implant. After 5 missions. None important (except for the implant one). Anyway, it's pretty strange behavior for something that is supposed to be entirely random.

Iv gotten 3 implants in total two willpower +3's as rewards and one charisma +3 as a drop from a gallente navy vexor. Iv done over 120 missions for my lvl 3 internal security agent. Which equates to about 20 or so important missions and on two of those important missions iv gotten implants and the charisma from a normal mission. After you get your 1st implant it think theres about a 1/8 chance of getting another important impant mission.
Its not easy hang in there. --------------- ...and now the man who will lead us on our proud struggle for freedom, fresh from his bloody triumph over the pacifists of the Ghandi nebula, twenty five star general Zap Brannigan! |

I hate you, i really do. I've been working with these agents for awhile now. Time isn't a factor, I can be a runner for over 3 months but that doesn't mean anything if I only make 1 or 2 runs a day. However, I do several a day, several important missions and nothing. You want to see something? Look at this screen shot. I have received 2 of these simultaneous important agent runs, thats a total of 4 important agent runs in about an hour. I received JACK CRAP! Sure my standing went up, and sure I understand statistics, hell i did great in my college class, but seriously, this blows. I'm just venting :(
Not so important

I'm sorry about your bad luck. all i can say that might be a reason is that my agent in 18 base quality in a 0.2 system. and you seem to work in 0.9 system.
oh no need to look my char up, i'm posting with an alt, but i'm sure you already tried finding out what agent i'm working for.
