Attempting to execute Pilots now? Surely this is a symbolic gesture and his clone contract will fulfill itself; I don't even want to think of the fallout of any faction actually killing an egger. Or, perhaps his motives are similar to Pilot Hakatain's, maybe he is hoping for change and pushed the wrong people.
*Inara pulls out a silver case from the folds of her suit, upon opening it she curses slightly*
All these Pilots throwing wrenches in the order of things is causing me to think too much, thinking too much in turn gets me rather stressed, and now I'm out of sticks to get rid of the stress and will have to hope that my contact isn't running low as well.
((silver case she pulls out, basically looks like a modern cigarette case, sans the lighter)) |

This is what I was referring too, I don't get far from my pod without having an up to date neural scan done, and I would assume most Pilots take similar precautions. |

There's more and more of this lately it would seem.
I recommend some patience in the matter, surly you can appreciate that; If there's anything I've learned of the Empire, it's the fact they don't rush things like this. Even if he's found guilty, they'll throw him in a dark corner somewhere for a few years to let the hype slow down before getting around to his execution. And it will be no where nearly as garish and hair-knuckled as some executions that we have seen recently.

Originally by: Lucius Vindictus IĈm happy to see so many pledges of support to Sepherim. It strengthens my belief that Sepherim will in time be declared innocent. I thank you all, and hope that we can count on your continued support in this trying time. I was once his acolyte and he trained me personally when I was a fledgling capsuleer. Therefore these accusations dishonor me as well, and the ordo quaesitoris as a whole. I will pray for him, and will do whatever is in my power to prove his innocence.
I would like to clarify, I don't hold an opinion on his innocence. I was merely pointing out that there seems to be a small number of similar happenings.
For all I know or care he could be in league with... the deceiver, I believe is what you call the diametric opposite to your supposed god. It all makes for a good read and causes many to eat their words. *Inara laughs lightly* I'm still waiting on someone to tell me to take Heth's office after Stitcher's little coming out party.
Word of advice, don't stand by a man that could end up being your own demise should he prove to be a heretical treasonous liar; I'm sure the MIO would love to dig into your past and find a few skeletons if you provoke them. |

Huh. Even before my involuntary change of career, I'd have said "Only if the law's a good one".
*Inara grins slightly*
At least you're starting to agree that the law is corrupt. It's about time more competent pilots realized the failures of CONCORD and the 4 nations in their current states.
And to Pilot Vindictus, you are correct, I meant no insult, merely stating that it is a possibility... however remote you may think. I don't know him well enough to say.

Originally by: Stitcher Don't give me that "starting to agree" crap. I stopped unquestioningly swallowing orders and laws even before I became a capsuleer.
Law is not inherently corrupt. It can, however, be misappropriated by the corrupt.
Everyone has rules or "laws" if you will. Veto definitely have rules. A lot of them are the same as many of the laws you might find being enforced in both the State and the Federation. Good laws - the ones that aren't abusive of the common good - are damn near ubiquitous.
So easy to rile up... no worries, I figured you weren't a mindless puppet. *the grin and tone in her voice makes it apparent she meant no disrespect, simply wanting to stir up things*
And of course law is not corrupt, just the current system of law as it has been established by CONCORD is corrupt. If I didn't believe in law, structure of some type, I would not be flying with 'the united' if that were the case, and I would be one of the clusters biggest hypocrites with the rules and regulations I impose on my own slaves. |
