As the title implies...
Does Tracking Disruptors with Optimal range script only affect Optimal range (which seems logical) or also Falloff range?
If it only affects optimal, it means the effect against projectile guns with small optimal and huge falloff is minimal.
Been considering refitting my Arbitrator for a "just out of reach" ship using dual TD's with optimal range scripts, MWD and, of course, drones.
Anyone who can confirm wether optimal range script kills both optimal and falloff or just optimal ranges? -------------------------------------------------- "Every complex problem has a solution which is easy, neat and wrong!" |

Just fit it and show info - the friggin thing kills falloff.
But it's useless against ACs - honest! |

The TD Range script affects both optimal and falloff. |

I wouldn't say that Two TD pretty much force any AC user to get within 10k and therefore webbed :D also verry usefull for those vagabond pilots who still speed tank with barage loaded :D |

Yep, and there's no module available to increase your falloff - only your optimal.

That's nice :P
Means with dual TD's, I'm reducing turret range with -50% x 2.
So a 20km medium turret will get reduced to 10km first, then down to 5km with the 2nd TD.
I'm liking this Arby bonus to TD's.

tracking disruptors looks good on paper and are good outside web range, however any arb inside my ruptures web range will die, if you manage to stay outside web range, then yes it works wonderful |

Provided you don't let the Arb get under 1km of you with tracking speed scripts ;) But I agree, if you have the speed advantage, you'll pop the Arb since you can stay in the sweet spot between loss of DPS due to tracking, and loss of DPS due to range.
If for any reason the arb gets to dictate range, he'll kill you at the extremes of range, very close with tracking, and very far with optimal.

Thing with Arby is, at long range you can kill their optimal, at close range you can kill their track speed, all in a matter of seconds by changing scripts.
If you can't dictate range with Arby, they'll be able to slip away out of your scram/disruptor.
Since it's a droneboat it relies mostly on drones, so can fit a good tank considering not needing to fit a rack of guns.
I had much success with Arby, but I've used it "Pilgrim" style, using track speed disrupt, NOS/Neut and webbing.
Figured I wanted to try something new :) -------------------------------------------------- "Every complex problem has a solution which is easy, neat and wrong!" |
