Purpose:
The purpose of the ship would be to create a mass invert bubble around stargates, similar to interdictor spheres in 0.0. This invert bubble would increase the mass of all ships caught within it, thus increasing warp times slightly. The ship itself would have no offensive combat capabilities. The ship could be restricted to 0.6 and below systems, or however CCP deems.
Effect:
The effect of this would be a slight increase in warp/align times for all ships caught within.
The ship would have the option of 3 Modules. One for smaller vessels, One for Larger, One for Capital.
Thus only one module could be active at any given cycle, so if the small module was running it'd have no effect on ships with greater mass than the sphere, and or vice versa. This would allow it to be utilized in 0.0 to slow down capitals / BS gangs, you name it.
Uses:
This could have many uses, from catching pods, shuttles, and frigates in wars. To slowing down enemy fleets traversing high-sec to another sector of space to stage an attack. Yes as with any ship/idea it could be abused, but it can also be fine tuned, thats CCP's job.
Ship Loadout
High Slots No guns/Launchers - 1-2 slots for utility
Med Slots 1-3 Utility
Low 1-4 Utility
Warp Mass Inverter Module Small/Large/Capital (Hi-Slot) --HighSec--
Would require some sort of fuel to run.

Sounds to me you've just thought of something that would be beneficial for what you personally like doing in EVE, without fully thinking out the ramifications. |

what about a mining barge with 10 strips and a 900,000m3 ore hold? while we are making up stuff that suits us.  make it cost 3b and have no tank as drawbacks?

Trollin wrote:mass invert would imply negative mass? how does that make slower? you are essentially asking for a Hdictor type ship with a stasis web bubble instead of a warp disrupt bubble and you want to fire it in a .6? obviously you have never webbed a freighter, it warps faster not slower.
I think the OP's intent is to create a module that increases align time, not an AOE Stasis Webifier. |
