me and my friend recently set up a corp in empire with the sole intention of helping new guys out into the world of eve now 10 days into the life of the corp we have about 15 guys from diferent timezones and we have been war decked by 2 corps i already met these brave individuals fliping my can because we have been recruiting newbs the average age of a player in our corp is less that a month i am sure thats why these guys have war decked us because they know they can score easy kills. so now im in a dilema do i equip my young friends with the best equipment they can use and send them to die or do i move the corp somewhere quieter ?
which brings me here maybee what goes around comes around did anybody ever take you under there wing when you started this game do you like pew pew do you hate lame ass empire grifers who really would go out to 0.0 if they could only grow a pair ?
the corp in question is kath although the corp has existed for some time it was only reactivated about 10 days ago the brave individuals who want to do glorius battle with people who have just finished the tutorial mission are "Mining and Mission Specialists" and "something rotten"
i know the trolls will be out in force on this one but the truth is we set out to help people and now it is been ruined by a bunch of guys who only want to fight battles they know they can win if you have any intrest in some empire pew pew please contact shai hallud ingame or post here

Welcome to Eve, I'll be holding the can you can QQ in.
Grievers are a common sight and occurrence in Eve, and unless you know how to stay quiet and out of sight from them, your more than likely to be decced.
You might as well move to a safe spot and make a new corporation, or just never undock and let them become bored of trying to kill you.
Of course if you have the money, contract some mercs for pew pew.

If you/your corp has some extra isk, I'd fit your corpmates up with some frigates and go on hunts for these guys. They're probably trying to grief you, which only happens if you let it. If you are proactive, they may get some easier kills but your corpmates with bourgeoning eve careers will learn invaluable lessons and in the process have a lot of fun. They're going to die in eve; they might as well learn the lesson when it's cheaper. |

Step one, fit for range.
Step two, get some bait with a point and lots of hitpoints.
Step three, pew pew.
OR
Get 10 Blackbirds and watch them cry in local.
It's really funny. Stop, hammer time. |

You may not feel this way right now..but you couldnt ask for a better opportunity than this to help your noobs..First be positive..tell your guys its party time..get organized..have fun..frigs ftw baby..its a war dec dude you can shoot first. you may or may not want to corp insure ships. Your noobs will thank you later when they understand the basics of pvp. |

Pretty much what everybody else said... fight em in cheap ships. Don't just undock and fly around willy nilly though. Get a person or two to fit a cloak or use a covops if they can fly it and do some scouting. See where your opponents are and try to get a favorable engagement with them. Once you have some intel use it to your adavantage. Try to do some hit and runs in the small ships.
If you fail and lose all the ships you really aren't out anything. You can always try again. Just get it in your members heads that they can't operate like normal during the dec. Suspend solo mining and other activities and get them involved in learning the pvp end of it. Learning to scout and gather information is useful training even for the newest players.
Good luck with your dec. |

Use neutral alts as scouts and fight back. T1 ships which are fully insurable is a great way to introduce people to pvp on a small scale. Avoid smack in local and don't respond to it...as others have said, its a great lesson to the harsh reality of eve.

quote of the day
CAT: Wait, I know this game. It's called cat and mouse, and there's only one way to win; don't be the mouse. LISTER: What are you saying? CAT: I'm saying, the mouse never wins. Not unless you believe those lying cartoons. We don't run, we strike. It's the last thing they'll be expecting. RIMMER: No, the last thing they'll be expecting is for us to turn into ice skating mongooses and to dance the Bolero. And your plan makes about as much sense. LISTER: I say go with it. KRYTEN: Agreed. CAT: You're going to go with one of my plans? Are you nuts? What happens if we all get killed? I'll never hear the last of it!

Really, it's been said, but I'll underline it once more.
Use lots of t1 fitted blackbirds in your fleet. You can do a world of damage with a condor, 3 t1 blackbirds, and a passive drake. You can also try locking stuff with neutral chars in triple LSE II ships and see if you can catch them with autotarget on for epic concordorken lols.
If they start going with ceptors, RSB thrashers or other destroyers is another cheap way to fight.
and finally, Eve is always about pew pew, everything else is subsidiary to that. Teaching these new guys how to fight is probably the most valuable lesson you can give, especially considering how cheap it is for you.
