I keep explaining to people that veldspar is the most valuable ore to mine. They keep telling me, "but in nullsec you can mine arkanor" or "but plagioclase is rarer, so therefore it must be worth more!"
Then after the hour-long economics 101 tutorial, I point out to them that they can make two to three times as much ISK running missions instead of mining, and missions are more fun 'cos you get to blow stuff up.
Then I tell them about canflipping and ninja salvaging and they start questioning the ethics of it. News flash: EVE is a PvP game, you do PvP stuff for the sake of PvP...

There's a lot but these are the three big ones:
* Any thread with the word "nerf" in it. These threads should be binned on sight by forum mods, never read and certainly never replied to.
* Any thread with the word "lag" in it. Lag is a part of life on the internet guys, thought you might have been able to deal with that by now. Get used to it.
* Any thread that complains about CCP's lack of feedback. ARE YOU GUYS KIDDING OR WHAT - CCP gives you guys more feedback than Jimi Hendrix's burning Stratocaster at Monterey. I could show you threads that go for over 100 pages on other gaming company's websites where the fans can't even get the developers to NOTICE what they're saying let alone respond or heaven forbid, take on board any feedback whatsoever. You guys don't know how good you have it. |

Any topic which debates the fairness of any sale price on the market. Anyone who understands basic economic theory as practiced in a free market (IE, what EVE's market is) knows that if the item was sold, the price was fair. If the item doesn't sell, the price wasn't fair.
BTW, everyone knows the best looking ship is the Hurricane. I have proof. Name one other ship that looks even remotely like a Star Destroyer much less looks more like one than the 'cane? There isn't one. There, proof it is the coolest looking ship. *whistles innocently* |
