Remove normal roids and replace them with massive mining asteroid colonies, that can be used to mine minerals. Only one corporation(non-NPC) at a time could control one, so we would see some heated mineral wars in empire for the control of these installations. Also a NPC corp nerf or player corp boost, if you maintain regular mining.
Disclaimer: I don't mine and haven't ever mined, so I know nothing about what I'm talking about. |

Plenty of asteroids elsewhere.
Just needs a bit more effort.
Systems without stations, hell, even some systems with stations, you can be the only one there all day. This is highsec too. |

I keep reading this stuff about roids belts getting empty.
I play at CET time so I am online before the server maintenance (that is when the roids are the most depleted) and still have no big issues finding stuff to dig in high sec. Maybe you should try stop warping to the first belt name in the first starting location and move a bit away? |

Plenty of systems in hi-sec with much ore to mine. Just what would you expect trying to mine in Jita? There's a reason Tritanium has gone up so much, you know |

If Eve was left to the high-sec carebears then you would have the abilty to mine the very stations they live in until nothing is left to hide in.
Shortsightedness FTW!
Real Answer: There is nothing wrong with the amount of Veld in high sec, it's meant to be a noobie/really small time industrialist training grounds. If you spend lots of time stripmining in hulks you need to GTFO of highsec. |

Less populated systems, grab a hauler and move the hulk, then haul your goods in the hauler.
Alternatively, go to low sec. |
