Edited by: Fist1 on 26/01/2009 02:35:14 had my 8800GTX's out of SLI for about 4 months for other issues. went back yesterday and updated vid drivers to 181.22 and then put the system back into SLI and now the game locks up about 5 seconds after loading me into the station. took it out of SLI after a few tries and it seems to work fine again. anyone else run into this? if not I will submit a bug report.

I have a similar problem, Windows Vista 64 too, the video driver stop working, I receive a black screen for about 2-5 seconds and then it recover, I'm using the exact same 181.22 driver from NVidia but was with the same problem when using the previous drivers.
I'm not sure, but several problems with EVE and graphics started after the update to Windows Vista SP1, installing 181.22 video drivers just got worst as I'm getting these crashes or locks up a lot more.
Microsoft don't have solution and asked me to contact NVidia, I filled a bug report there today.

I'll have to roll back the drivers till the problem is fixed.
Never had a problem before this.

Guess I'll hold off on updating my drivers then (running 178.24 here) as I have no issues at the moment with my pair of 8800GT's in SLI.

This happens to me only when I have sli enabled. Turn it off and everything is good. I don't see sli making any difference in eve anyways so I just leave it off.
I am running server 2008 and current drivers. |
