I thought that having POS will allow you to go beyond 30d limit on ME research jobs (mobile lab, not advanced). Am I missing something?

Nope, you're not missing anything. The biggest advantage is not having the 2 week wait for an open slot. Add that into the equation for a couple months research and it saves a month still.

Advantage of a POS means you don't have to wait on other people queuing up slots with meaningless research jobs.
30 day limit still applies but once the job is done you just put it back on for another 30 days or whatever. |

The exception to this is Cap ship related BPOs and such which have > 30 days to go 1 level of ME or PE. In that case, you can do it but are limited to just that 1 level.

Your corp members can use them if they have the rights though :)
also copy slots in mobile and adv mobile labs copy faster then puplic slots.

Having the only person to wait on be yourself is a nice benefit too. ;)
I've taken to stacking all my short (under a day) jobs in one slot and then putting big (more than a day) jobs into their own slots (or after the fast ones) so I only have to wait on myself and I'm not hogging all the research slots and annoying my corp mates.
the 0.75 time multiplier is nice too. ;)

The limit to S&I jobs is 30 days OR 1 run, whichever is longer. This applies to all jobs equally regardless of where they are installed.
The time modifier etc on other installations is very nice, as is having a slot reserved for your own use.
