I received an escalation from a complex last night. It was 10 jumps away so I thought Id check it out in my Buzzard first.
I warped in cloaked and the escalation spawned. There were 3 BS, a few cruisers and an acceleration gate so I went back and got my Drake. However, when I warped back in with my Drake the first room with the gate had disappeared and instead I warped straight into the main room. I completed this and got another escalation, so thought Id try the same thing and again the 1st room with the gate disappeared and I ended up in the main room.
Is this normal ? Lets say I have to warp out of the main room too 'cos I cant take the DPS...will it still be there when I warp back in ?

In my experience, a brief warp back to station to repair will not cause a despawn, but I wouldn't leave it alone for more than 5 minutes. Different escalation sites may behave differently, though. |

Some escalation sites complete when you warp in, so if you leave they despawn. So if you scout with an expendable ship, bookmark it, and switch to your mission ship then it's gone. |

First warp gets you on the entry gate as the site spawns, following warps get you into the room because there is no deadspace on expedition sites like these and BM in your journal points to inside the room.
This kinda sucks as faction spawn is usually on the gate, the solution is bookmarking the place near gate when you warped to it if you wish to return there.

Yeah I missed a 10mil faction spawn the first time cos of this, but made sure I killed and looted the faction spawns first in the next escalations.
