Am i right in thinking if i set up a pos with a lab i can only research if there is a NPC station in the system and i have an office in it?
i.e. i can not set a pos in a system with no npc stations in it and research from there ?

that is correct, u also need your corp to have an office in same system, u would place ur bpo's into the corp hanger to research them,

You can research in a POS lab without a station but the BPOs must be in the labs themselves. Should you get attacked and your POS put into reinforced there's no way you can remove them and you will lose them should your agressor pop your control tower.
If you have a station in the same solarsystem with a corp office the BPOs can be put on from the station. Should your POS get popped your BPOs would re-appear in the station instead of them being lost.
So no the station isn't required, it's just a safety feature.

What are the chances of a POS getting popped in 0.7 space ?
Does concord protect it ?
Another newbie question :
Can i move pos once i place it ? i.e to another system. |

If you are war dec'd Concord will not protect anything, including your POS.

You will have to unanchor it all and reanchor in a new place. You can't just tell your POS to move to a different sector and it vanish and re-appear (interesting idea though  ). |
