The bigger they are the slower they get. Ok this is understandable, but I'd like something fast with 150 ish cargo room. So I'm stuck with a small ship with very limited power, cap and CPU. This is fine for a high speed transport, but you feel like mouse. Theres little room for defences at all. I like what was done with the Condor (except for the total lack of cargo room). The Raptor and the Crow are basicly upgraded versions of it. Why can't there be the same with other ships? Like lets say ships like the Bantam, Merlin, and Kestrel. Drop their cargo by up to half, up their cap, CPU, power, or amount of mount points (like pick three of those and up them by 5-30%) up the price of production of the ship by 25-75% and slap a "II" after their name. Simple (other then balancing) and puts more ships available on the market while keeping extra system requirements (server and client) very low for these additions. All the same graphic models could stay the same, the only difference would be the ship's ID number and a few extra ship data tables to be added. I'm guessing the main load would be to the server from the extra missions added. The cool thing could be in it's markings or the lack there of. Consider a Merlin rolling up to attack a Bantam II with out knowing which version it is and finding a landmine rather then a buffet.
Justa thought.

larger ships can actually go very fast with an mwd or 2... try a cruiser, gallente cruisers have good cargo with reasonable speed (eg. exqueror and vexor). Minmatar ships are faster, but have less cargo.
I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century. |

True they can go faster but they still handle like dead horses. There are other races that have faster ships but that requires getting allot of extra skills for some. Plus speed isn't all I'm talking about. Power, cap and CPU would be the main selling points behind the upgraded ships.

there will be tech2 variants of the other frigs.. theyve already released the covert ops frigs(heron variant) and interceptors(condor variant), and soon will release the black ops(griffin variant), mining(bantam variant), bomber(kestrel variant) and gunships(merlin variant).
i think that answers your question.. not sure though. theres lots of frigs with a 150m3 cargo bay.. and most i wouldnt call "slow". My Idea Thread

All with their 20 Million price tags for a ship worth 300Kisk. Lovely. Don't mind me if I don't have baited breath anticipation for these.
