No it's the patch that fixes the patch that fixes the patch. I think we are going to be needing another patch that fixes this patch though. |

What ever did happen to that patch to fix the overheating?
Guess they give up on it.
I still cannot see why this new patch is over 100mb in size.
Can somebody diff the dirs to see what is added that ISN'T in the patch notes please.

Overheating is now considered a feature, as is warping sideways , missing warp tunnels, flickering screens on loading the client, jamming bar showing while not being jammed etc etc, keep up with the latest events. |

Eve is starting to cost too much on quota now for minor patches.
Perhaps if they did what NCSoft do, only download what we actually need as we need it (for those that don't have a full install). |

It is one of those stealth patches. They lead us into believing they are spending time fixing the bugs a lot of us care about and find annoying but really they are concentrating on the CQ character stuff. |

Would be better for CCP if they where just honest and open about what actually is in the 100mb patch instead of the feeble list they give now.
CCP don't seem to care that they are alienating their own customers, because they are firmly focused on furries.

An adjustment to all rendered objects graphicly wise which is what the rest of the patch was helps with the multi avatar CQ's, the over heating issue, the remember where your avetar was before you go into the Recustimiser and all the rest of the CQ issues. The faster they get the frame work locked in the faster they can get to the FIS stuff we want.
Another expanation is the way they are updating stuff in blocks now. If they have to change one line of code in a block they have to resend the whole block. |

cause like I said in another thread that got flamed near to death for suggesting in another thread. Its not CCP's fault, its the graphics card's manufacturer's faults.

Indeed! Winter is coming. The additional heat will be welcomed.
As with anything that costs money to 'fix' something the idea from corporate is to wait long enough for all the problem people to die off before they can admit wrong doing. And by then a fix isn't required. So, we'll keep waiting.
