If you don't want to wait for a huge buy order to be filled, place smaller concurrent ones?

If you want an order filling quickly, you'll up a higher price to get it filled quickly.
If you're not in any rush, you'll put in a low-ish order at a remote place so that lazy people sell at a low price rather than make the effort to haul it to the central locations.
