I dont understand how those containers works.....if I try to trash one in a near system I receive this message:
"The Audit Log Secure Container can not be reprocessed as it has a log entry that is less than three weeks old."
WTH I cannot trash it until 3 weeks pass???? Com'on.... Instead for mistake I trashed one, same kind, in current station with items inside (my bad....) and trashed it.....but last time I used it was yesterday!!!! How the hell those containers works??? |

sounds like its one of thoses station container things. You can set them up to record who takes what and when so that you can keep track of corp assets.
To get around the problem of people taking everything and then trashing the can to cover their tracks you have to wait 3 weeks to trash it. |

I spent a couple months trying to get rid of one because it seemed to reset the 3 week clock every time I tried to trash it. Pick out some holiday (Valentines is coming up) and vow not to even look at the container until then.

Easiest thing to do is to empty such a container, rename it to a date three weeks into the future (+1 day just to be sure), and then come back and trash/repackage it when that date comes up. Otherwise, what knifee describes will often happen: you'll think that it's been three weeks, and try it too soon, at which point that attempt will be added to the log thus resetting the timer. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

Ok thx for the replies....btw CCP this thing sucks....you should allow who have the roles to trash it anyway....or at least dont make the counter restart each time someone try to trash it.... |

When you are done with the can, rename it to 'TRASH AFTER (date three weeks from tomorrow)'

Would repackaging the container work? Can you repackage a container? I'm not sure.... |

Something which I've always thought was a pointless "security" measure which is in fact just a minor inconvenience you can work around.
To get rid of the can (if you need to do it in a hurry) all you have to do is create an Alt on a trial account and Contract the container to them. The Contract is private so it shouldn't be possible for anyone to look it up in your records and you can then just wipe the trial character if you like.
