what OS are you using Vista/XP are you using 32/64bit. Do you have a 64/32bit CPU/mobo. Rest of your specs please :) ------------------------------------- Read my bio ingame for tips on how to live and not be called nasty names by me. |

update:
eve will work fine as long as its not windowed with any overlap on the second screen.
my old setup used a 8800gts and i could move clients round th screens all day np and even good fps on both.
seems to be either somthing in eve (im going to try the preset interval thing) or a driver issue, the card being so new they havnt worked out all the kinks yet with dual screens (tho thats a laugh as this model is ment to be enhanced for multi screen 3d rendering appearrntly!!)

best way is to disable sli if your going to run eve in window mode if your running full screen is fine but you might get a crash or 2 if you alt tab your way to desktop.

I have the exact same problem.
EVGA 295 Vista premium 64
I started playing in full screen mode switched to window and the machine stopped responding immediately.

I've got the same issue with Vista 32 and dual GTX 280's SLI + window mode = hard lock of the PC. |

ive set the preset interval 1 on both accounts, which restricts the fps to 60 on each, so thats reduced some unessery load on my gpus.
My system is now working perfectly, as the 8800gts did.
this is what i did (not sure which step is the winner so heres everything):
first of all uninstalled all graphics drivers and disconnected the second monitor form the card.
updated my motherboard bios to latest version (i'm using an 'old' intell p35 mainboard).
installed the graphics drivers again.
restarted, reset my overclock and other bios settings (mild oc btw).
loaded into windows, connected second monitor and configued through nvidia control panel. made sure there were no forced settings in the driver for eve or global.
fired up an eve client and windowed it at max res (leaving a sliver of window on second screen), no crash. moved window fully over second screen no crash. fired up second account and moved one on each window, no crash! \o/
closed eve and rebooted to make sure it wasnt a one off, works still! \o/
without the interval preset i was able to get just under 300 fps in station on both screens, and at preset one (60 fps) they are rock solid on 60, and both clients super smooth.
I hope this helps other with the same issue.

try disabling the SLI mode for the dual core video card. I had a 7950 GX2 and it was termed something like optimizing performance by using one monitor. |
