i used to be part of eve, i went out and bought an new graphics card and everything ( e-GeForce FX 5200 of course) and eve worked great. But this file appeared in my C drive, it was quite a while ago so i dont remeber what it was, but it couldnt be deleted and norton found it as a virus. my dad is paranoid about computers and called tech support for the computer. they said it was the card, so my dad made me take the card out and now i cant paly eve at all. anyone know why this happened

I run a GeForce FX5200. No problems.
What is the name of this file/program you are talking about that can't be deleted. Never heard of any such problem occuring with any NVidia card like you are describing but I have had problems with Norton before and will not use any Norton product.

i cant remeber the name but it was probably spyware/adware, it couldnt be deleted because "it was in use by another program" but i think it came from the ghost recon game that came with it. i never really had problems with it until then. by the way, what antivirus program are you running.

Ghost recon has this persistent file in it yes.
I managed to get it out eventually, tho cant remember how. It used to do nothing weird to my old pc tho. Originally by: Aneu Angellus Iv held back from posting on this thread for quite some time, but i think the time had come for me to come in and post.
