It isn't going to serve much more of a purpose beyond that. Nano that *****. The following fitting is possible with T2 modules if you've got AWU 4, although tbh I wouldn't put too much T2 stuff on a T1 EWar frigate. HIGH 2x 125mm AC II 1x Rocket OR Missile Launcher II MID 1x 1MN MWD II 2x TP II LOW 1x DCU II 2x OD II You get SLIGHTLY more DPS (like 3 points worth) with rockets instead of missiles, but of course the range sucks. The weapons are for countering drones only. Your speed will be in the 4500 to 4700 m3 area with the T2 modules and level 4/5 propulsion skills.

If in empire and if you are being hunted by police, replace mwd with mse, and no need for cloak.

Dirk Magnum is correct. You should be fitting a Probe for that type of mission due to its specific bonus. The Vigil is an EW specialty ship. In fact, you could do away with the high slot turrets/launcher with the Vigil and go with non-weapon mods there. This assumes you have TPs in the mid slots and the ship is supporting damage dealing ships in a fleet. There is no need to have weapons in that role so drain cap, salvage or something. You need to think more about your personal fleet/ship/fit management and design fittings and ship selecton based on the role you are playing or the specific mission you face(both game mission or your own mission).

With hg snakes it hits nearly 5000ms under mwd and a shade under 800ms cloaked and thats without a dedicated speed tank in the lows. Makes for a wicked suprise for safespoters who hit the mwd then click in a random direction thinking they will be safe. inappropriate signature. ~WeatherMan

In that case you need a nano nerf special fit for that extra bit of protection. 3500 shield ehp with even resists and a frigate signature radius means no moar alpha popping or having to die horribly to Warrior II if you drop a premature point. Not so good for tackling fast targets but for the prey I assume you guys are using it for it should suffice. And yeah I kinda miss my sexy vigil hull but I've taken to humming the Jaws theme to match the big sharks fin on the top. Works for me. Also the op admitted to wanting to be able to explore with it eventually so here is a nice high skill fit for wormhole exploration the op can skill towards.
