I know most of the time i spam alot in these forums but some times i do post relevent stuff in these forums and this is one of these times , so don't dismiss it.
As i understand it the point of these dev blog is to actually tell something about the community and go into some details about what the dev blog is about ( obviously not to much as we know you have to hold some information) but i have to say that the last few blogs that you have come out with really don't give us anything ,
for example
fury of apoc
this blog tells us nothing , only to the fact that more blogs are coming, going into slight detail that the game will be boxed but we already knew that because of the fanfest this year.
then a good blog to actually arrives
sic iter ad astra - building a new bridge to the stars
this blog actually goes into some detail about what is coming up with worm holes and traveling to them and how to find them , which i am impressed with very indeed
now with this new blog that just come out in got back to not giving us much new information other that the name of the new NPC that we will find in wormholes,
when evolution leaps foward
pretty much all this stuff we already knew was coming since it has been posted before in these forums that NPC AI was being rewritten , and not going to be put into the general NPC AI use as of yet and that we already knew.
things that were new in this blog were that BS rats will be making it in to low sec and the new rats will have the components of t3 (of which none of these go into detail and the components of T3 were already mentioned in the last dev blog)
Hungry for more? why couldn't you just use this blog to tell us about the NPC changed that this blog seem looked like it was going to do. this blog only seem to tell us the new name for the worm NPC which you could of easily done in a post on the forums and save the dev blog page for actual useful information about what coming up. |

just pointing out that they might as well not put a blog up to give us info they already have told us through posts , and that like the last blog that came out give us some real information instead of saying 4/5 times in the new blog a new blog about this and a new blog about that. Why even bother about making a blog about other blogs |

Agreed, aside from the:
- New NPC name
- BS spawns will be happening in low-sec
- new PvP-like AI active on Sleeper & normal officer spawns
...that was a waste of a devblog.

No. They didn't give any candy. The content contains 2 things. Lowsec gets BSes and the new bad guys are called The Sleepers. A name that has been used to ******* death.
I've seen sigs that convey more information.

I'd much rather hear some sort of new often rather than one maybe one big one once a month.
Really, quit your whining. CCP is nice enough to put out news and info and you complain? The longer the devs spend typing up devBlogs, the less time they have to actually work on stuff. Most of these are not written by Customer Relations type people, but actual game designers, programmers, artists, etc.

Some of them are low on the details and new info, but even the bad ones have their uses. They bring the info scattered in dozens of different threads to one visible location for all to see. I know we forum *****s often forget this, but most people don't bother with the forums and only read the official announcements if even that.

given that i know more after reading that than i did before, i'm not really sure how you classify this as a "waste" of a Dev blog.
as others have said, no matter if they put up a great or a terrible dev-blog (let alone not putting anything up at all), people will just complain like they always do. |

It seems you're missing the fact that dev blogs aren't necessarily aimed at just the portion of the playerbase that spends a lot of time on the forums and already knows this stuff. Dev blogs are a good way of knowing what's coming up without having to search for the information, and they're doing that just fine. |
