i don't know if anyone else has covered this already, but I though i would like to what has to be the most extreme use of bacon in a foodstuff i have ever seen.
Behold: The Bacon Explosion
Now, don't get me wrong. I LOVE bacon. I have bacon on a semi-regular basis (once a week or more.) and it's one of my favorite breakfast foods. But this... This is just INSANE.
Does anyone else find this disturbing?

Neither excessive nor disturbing. It's just your very own custom bacon sausage. You can slice it and use it in any amount you like it.
I bet it tastes all shades of bacon-yummy.

That's a good point. I wasn't thinking you could just refrigerate it and cook/eat it in slices. I was thinking you'd actually try and eat the entire thing in one sitting!
Hmm... Maybe it's not such a bad idea after all... *runs to store*

The kid in me was hoping this thread was about a way to make bacon explode

Should be renamed to heart attack. Too much for me.
Never been a huge fan of bacon although it is decent in certain meals. Same goes for sausage. Now that I think of it anything on the pig other than the occasional porkchop.
Pizza place I used to work at had a pizza that was called the bacon super. Had sausage, bacon bits, and Canadian bacon on it and I wouldn't touch it for the life of me. Each one that came out of the oven just swam in artery clogging grease. I swear you would have to roll it up and ring it out before eating it.

You know what's the worst thing about that? Apparently it takes two to three hours to cook. How in god's name can anyone not go crazy smelling cooking bacon for three hours without eating it. I'd have to cook up a rasher of bacon just to get through cooking the explosion.
And I will do it one day. Oh yes. I will.

mm bacon.
Now caramel covered apples wrapped in bacon. That would be a good. Personally if there's not some type of veggie along with all the meat then all I see is someone going to the lou after eating that thing.
Yeah I reckon they named it bacon 'explosion' because of what it does to you after you eat it. Had to be an American who would come up with a way to make sure fat fat and more fat was in all the food groups lol.
Ah who am I kidding, I'd take a bite of that. Looks tasty, just wouldn't eat any more afterwards.

going to have to do this one day. The internet has already proven a good source of bacon related ideas, my bacon mat was a huge success. it was a great bacony combination of crunchy and chewy all at the same time.

Its bacon in spiced sausage with bbq rub covered in lattice bacon smothered in bbq glaze
Not a pork sausage with a bit of bacon wrapped round it.
I think the former is far superior.
