It is possible to make money losing a ship, our newbees do it all the time. And it does come out of thin air. I don't have fraps or screenshots but, I tell you, I have seen the dread Angel menace appear out of thin a- , er, vacuum.

The ones that arent insured receive a new hull and the 500m isk you get without insurance far far more than covers the cost of the modules involved. They also get the dropped loot off their wrecks quite often or random modules we looted off OTHER peoples wrecks. If you spend 500m fitting a dread please for the love of god show me your fitting so I can laugh at you. Oh wait, I don't need an excuse you're freaking SK rooster.

We make money off the loss thanks to subsidies.

Even worse, you learn that you died because one of those "fat gits" from management thgouht it would be fun to press F1 before his brain told him to. The next day you troll CAOD, and come across this thread. Then you start wondering if EVE is the game for you. As one of my friends said a while back: "how many times does the average goon have to be dded before he starts telling himself 'screw this, I am not coming tonight'" Anyone can se what these threads are really about - damage control turns on dont show goon posts Occationally you may see a longer post froma goon, but the usual reply to posts such as the one I just made, is a brief one-liner. Also all you idiots arguing about the pilots not losing money from losing the ships, the alliance reimburses all the cost after insurance for bses and dreads. Our dreads even make 400mil ontop of the cost of their hull + capital mods.
