Which minmatar battleship do you guys prefer for:
Pvp solo
Pvp group
Missioning
and your reasons for these choices. I'm just wondering since all the Minmatar Battleships seem a bit iffy and im just wondering which ones people like using and why.

pvp solo
tempest for large amount of medslots free when you armor tank it
pvp group rr tempest or rr phoon because the rr well although you can stac a few nuets on a phoon too, depends where your skills are at
missioning. maelstorm if you dont mind not looting/salvaging vargur ftw tho tbh
if you fly alot in shield gangs vargur maelstom everytime cept solo id srsly go for a tempy, and yes a fleet pest with 2 gl webs is awesome |

PvP solo:
Typhoon. Neuts, drone bay, decent speed, tier 1 cheapness. Tempest comes 2nd, due to extra midslots
PvP group:
Either 3. RR Phoon+Pest are nice and Mael can put out nice DPS and tank nicely.
Missioning:
Mael, or if you have supreme skills, the Typhoon. |

PVP gang DPS support (where RR isn't an option...): Maelstrom... as long as you don't come up against a really high DPS gang you can get over 1000 dps tanked and still put a lot of pain on your target.
Solo: Either the phoon or the tempest for it's mid slots. Both work pretty good...
Missioning: Maelstrom for sure. Shield tank so you can fit lots of damage... not to mention... super tank! |

Solo:
-Typhoon (you will need some serious SP for fly this ship correctly)
-Tempest if you know how to pick your fights (very versatile ship)
Group:
-Maelstrom is hands down the best BS matar in groups so long as someone else tackles for you, the pure gank/tank on this ship is ridiculous.
-Tempest for the RR gangs since you have slots for ECCM which is a must for RR gangs imo.
Missions:
-Maelstrom has the tank and dps you'll need for missions, the vargur is a POS so dont bother wasting your isk on that crap.

The Vargur is the best missioning/ratting ship available to Minmatar pilots. It is sadly only on par with a cruise raven for raw damage (depending on how far off into falloff you are, up close it is a monster).
After all, everyone needs some type of spacer in their sigs to show it's not part of the post.

Problem with fleettempest is that cruise/arty phoon is better compared to a armortanked fleetpest, and mael is better than a shieldtanked fleetpest. |

Fleet tempest in no way gets improvement to its sniping ability, it gets 1 more mid slot, no more turret hardpoints (lolwut?), some more shield/armor/hull and...well that's about it. One mid slot.
At least they're cheap and look good, but then again so is your mom, and at least some people take her for a spin. |

don't waste your time. . .but if you must:
Tempest - fleet
Phoon - solo (tell me when you find it outside of sisi)
Mael - Missions
but its the worst fleet, fantastic solo ship (see you in 2 years) and worst mission ship. . .enjoy |
