so far I've had:
shadow serpentis stasis webber,
shadow serpentis 200mm rail (med hyb)
shadow serpentis warp scrambler.
I'm loving this mission, ive only done 6 of them.

Can you tell us which agent you use? Because i did that mission about 20 times (for federation navy - also gallente) and never got shadows.

Because by nature they should be rare to come by. A mission where you are almost 'dead certain' to get one goes aginst this.
In my time of hunting NPC, and that's a lot, since they came in I have seen two. 1x 90,000 frigate and a 3m.

Because by nature they should be rare to come by. A mission where you are almost 'dead certain' to get one goes aginst this.
In my time of hunting NPC, and that's a lot, since they came in I have seen two. 1x 90,000 frigate and a 3m.

Hmm.... yes, just. Although it might stand to reason that an agent might 'know' where they could be. I did a level 1 "Gone Berserk" mission. I had a 55k bounty rat there.
I assume that the thread-starter is refering to the level 3 variant of this mission?
Maybe the opposition also is tailored to your own ship?

I did a level 1 "Gone Berserk" mission. I had a 55k bounty rat there.

ive had this mission a few times and not been lucky yet although on one i warped to the location given and was 390kms from a roid belt also the gone beserk rats were the usual low end but in the belt was a dark blood punisher 90k frigate which was unusual for the belts so i went and popped him and got a dark blood micro capicitor which was a welcome surprise...not much use to me but im sure someone will find a use for it

Some lucky person gets 3 of these spawns within a quick period of time. Naturally, he's pretty happy about it, and decides to post his tidy little loot pile on the forums. Perfectly understandable if you ask me.
But then somebody gets upset and decides it shouldn't be so easy, and then starts presenting that every agent runner is getting these all of the time. Then the nerfing begins.
Maybe the reward is too high for the risk, maybe it's just reward for those dedicated enough to work hard for their agents. Just don't go screaming nerf purely on the basis of one or two peoples good luck.

I got a shadow serpentis energized reflective membrane, 37% em dmg resistance. That was the first time I did the mission, then probably five times after that nothing that interesting. It's just random number generation. What's the alternative, getting the same item every time you do the same mission? Yawn, that would be very boring. Already the patterns are obvious...oh yeah this mission, with these rats, ho hum. The only unknown factor is what you'll get for loot. Anyone whining that you haven't gotten a shadow serpentis whatever yet, you should instead stop reading this and go do more missions, then thank CCP for continuing to add new missions to keep agent running interesting. That's not directed at anyone in particular, I just mean realize that since other people have gotten rare loot, that it is indeed possible.

I was bored the other day, and did a little calculation, according to my standing log of my corp.
i came to the conclusion that if i went to my agent, I have a 1 in 50 chance of recieving a "gone beserk" mission with a 550k rat in it, and im one of the very lucky ones where every 550k rat i fought droped something decent.
so for those who say its too easy, its not, we work through all the other less-than-attractive missions in order to get ones like this and implant ones, you cannot judge the reward system by a single mission...

Had my first 550k Elder Sentry yesterday, wasnt very spectacular performance wise, but curious after it's loot. Just a 250mm second-best named railgun and some other crap..but I'm happy enough with just getting a potshot at it :-)

Its random chance, its what makes the game interesting, quit complaining.
I have had 6 of these missions and did manage to get a medium C5 which was nice, plus an arbalest heavy, which is even nicer. No Dread mods yet. I had figured they weren't dropping from mission rats but now I know there are, I might do a few more to see if I can get lucky too.

Encountered the Dom. Scout 3 times now on that mission, got a nice Domination 10MN MWD (575%) which was cool, all the rest of the stuff was fairly standard though . Certainly can't complain really!!!  .

Sounds like there is a low probability of getting a dread/true/whatever rat and the "lucky" people have posted, sharing details of their loot (as the title of the thread suggested)
Its random chance, its what makes the game interesting, quit complaining.
I have had 6 of these missions and did manage to get a medium C5 which was nice, plus an arbalest heavy, which is even nicer. No Dread mods yet. I had figured they weren't dropping from mission rats but now I know there are, I might do a few more to see if I can get lucky too.
I couldnt care less cause i dont do missions very much, and when i do, it's mainly dull courier ones :P
Looks like some people get multiple missions with multiple nice loot, and some get nothing, that was my complaint. I can complain aswell if you want though.
Hunting in 0.0 6hours+ daily for well over a month has resulted in...*drumroll* ZERO Commanders. Havent even seen one.
they only show up in deep 0.0, ie 0.0 without stations... I saw one at the first belt in a system I went to in 0.0 couldnt take it out though in my punisher

Sure feels that way. I've been playing for 6 months or so and have seen one implant and ZERO 550k "Berserk" spawns since they were released. And I do a ton of missions.
My brother just started roughly 3 weeks ago. He's received two +2 implants and hit the big "Berserker" spawn multiple times...
wtf gives..? It just seems the "random numbers" have such a broad range that it results in a ridiculously low percentage of getting this stuff (like the T2 lottery). Like dabster said, a select few have all the luck, the rest us get Reproc-loot.
No skin off my back really - I'll just go buy the loot - but a little more even distribution (even a slight change) of these Berserkers would be nice...

seems my luck has ran out, after starting this thread, i havent had a single 550k rat again from that mission and ive had 7 of them since then, maybe its been nerfed :S

I always get that mission with Ammatar npcs when i do it for True Power (Sansha's Nation).
Makes me wonder if there's a Ammatar 550k npc to that drops ammatar faction loot? |

I've done a lot of the Gone Berserk missions, and gotten the 550k rat 4 times. The first time no can, the next time i got a 90% web (not a pirate named one though), the next time was a 82.5% web (all three of those were domination scouts), the last one I got dropped a shadow serp 250 rail (guardian elder). I bounce agents a bit and find that I get the 550k rat more often that way. Could just be luck.
