4x 425mm II, Drone Link, Tractor Beam, Salvager 2x TC, Cap Recharger, AB/Web LAR, 2 Hardners/EANM or 1 Hardner/2x EANM for Angels, 3 MFS
3x Sentrys, 5x Med T2 Drones
Blasters suck for Missions actualy(beside the very rare ones where anything is in range anyway), use Rails. Kronos Tracking isnŠt perfect but good enught for most cases, even against Angels. ---- Nerf Tank - Boost Gank!

I use:
[LOWS] x1 Amarr Navy LAR x2 mission specific hardner II's x2 mission specific hardner II's x2 Gallente Navy Magnetic Field Stabaliser
[MEDS] x1 100MN Republic Fleet Afterburner x1 Tracking Computer II x1 Web x1 Cap Booster
[HIGHS] x4 425MM Railgun II x2 Small Tractor Beams x1 Salvager
[RIGS] x2 Aux Nano Pump Rig
[DRONES] x3 Garde II x5 Hobby II
It'll last as long as you have 800's in your cargo (can hold over 23) though i find i NEVER have to use them, and i've been able to tank everything.
You kill crap pretty dang fast in this ship. 1-2 Salvo BC's and so forth.
EDIT NOTE: The gallente stabs are more for fitting than DPS, though the extra DPS don't hurt either. Without them, you can't fit the tractors/salvanger (I can't atleast). ----------------------------------- Have a Public Channel? Add it to the list: Channel List

I personally run:
4x 425 II, 3x Tractor 3x SS TC, 1x CR II (or 1x Web, 2x SS TC, 1x CR II depending on mission) 1x LAR, 3x Hardners, 3x SS Mag Stabs 2x CCC II
3x Sentries, 10x Lights
Although replacing the rigs to put in a RoF rig is probably a better setup. Might drop one of the tracking comps for an extra CR II, and the rigs with a RoF and CCC I. Its not cap stable with guns firing, but it really doesn't need to be. You could also use a cap booster, but personally I don't like dealing with those things.

Edited by: keepiru on 02/02/2009 23:17:32 Blasters? Not for missions mate.
Rig wise, just use CCCs.
Also, lol at all people who run 4s without afterburner, enjoy your gate-crawls.
My Kronos was fitted with the following:
4x 425mm II, 2x Salvager, 1x Tractor 1x 100MN Domination AB, 2x Cap Recharger II, 1x SS Tracking Computer 1x AN LAR, 3x Hardener, 3x GN Magstab ... and I really think they should boost T2 plate HP.

This is a good setup. I personally use a bit different version:
2-3*tractors, 0-1*smartbomb in the spare highs (salvage with another ship)
AB is a must, and I also keep a web fitted - those nasty Angel BS that orbit at 3km range can be a PITA for some missions otherwise. That way there is no need to manually reduce transversal and the collected cans are nicely in one spot. One CR2 is enough for most missions, but for Recon 1 and AE bonus room the cap is needed; I dump the TC there. Against heavy damping, replace something with a sensor booster (really really reduces the irritation factor).
Lows are the same. For Serpentis missions 4*dam mod, 2*active hardener speeds stuff up a bit. -- Gradient forum |

Pretty much the same variations I do to my setup, that's just the base, although I salvage as I go along, so the 3 utility highs are as listed.
Although ... I don't use a web much if at all; the only things that ever get below my tracking are angel frigs, and against those a single web doesn't seem to cut it, so for AE I switch a magstab for a DB cap relay, a cap recharger for a second SS tracking compy, and if anything still gets under I just drone it. |

Yes TC is Tracking Comp. It isnŠt cap stable, but can tank good enught that it is not worth in my Opinion to spend more Slots on Cap Mods(can even run AE Extra with it without expensive a Faction Tank).
You can drop a TC or a Damagemod if you realy feel in need of a cap stable Tank. |

Until I lost my Kronos to a Ninja last weekend I was running it with (from memory now :(
2 x 350 rail II 2 x 425 rail II 1 x Salvager 1 x tractor 1 x a drone module but cannot remember its name :-s
AB II 1 x Cap recharger II 1 x TC + script 1 x Lg Cap booster with 5 800 charges plus 15 in the hold
Corpus x-type LAR .. yes it hurt losing that :) DC II 1 x Corpus x - type Kin hardener .. still feeling the pain .. but wait there's more lol 1 x Kin Hardener II 1 Corpus x type (I think) Therm Hardener 1 x Therm hardner II 1 x EANM II
1 x CCC 1 x Nano pump
Again not a cap stable ship but run the repper in bursts and it does just fine.
My advice to you is this ... a Kronos is a beautiful ship but whatever you do, if your mission is invaded - run, dock and wait for a long time cos as lovely as it is, it has no survivability against a PVP ship

Edited by: Cyrgon Flyingmachine on 03/02/2009 22:45:54 It's an awesome ship!
This is what I'm using:
highs: 4x 425 IIs, 1x tractor, 2x salvagers meds: 1x gist a-type AB, 1x large cap booster II w/ 800s, 2x SS TC lows: 1x AN LAR, 1x AN EANM, 2x mission-specific hardeners, 3x GN MFS rigs: 2x aux. nano pump Is
Works very well, I don't mind the cap booster much because of the large cargo hold.

Not a big need to go lower than Thorium with 2 TCs, since you allready hit things at max lock Range(105km). Gank > Tank in Missions if you play it right and donŠt draw stage aggro, like I sayed permarunning big Tank is vastly overrated on a Kronos, it ganks stuff, before it needs to tank stuff.
Buzz kill is very smoth, AB out to 80km, Sensor Booster + good Tracking + Sentrys make fast work of the Frigs. |

Heres mine -
425mm II x 4 (With Faction AM 50k-80k range // With Faction Uranium 100k range) 3//2 x Tractor beams 1//0 x Drone link
3//2 x Tracking Comps II 1 x Heavy Cap Booster II 800 Charges 1 x AB II Or Sensor Booster II Or a 3rd Tracking comp - It all depends on mission.
1 x Amarr Navy LAR 2//1 x TS//Dark Blood Hardeners (mission specific) 1//2 x Amarr Navy EANMs 3 x Gall Navy Mag Stabs
Rigs -
Aux Nano T2 Hybrid Locust T2
A few points -
You have a large cargo USE IT! drop the damn cap rechargers, cap management is easy with 800 charges. Dont fit ccc's they are a waste on this ship tbh. GANK GANK GANK, remember wrecks cant shoot back! I dont salavge often (only certan rats) and i dont loot often (only BS heavy missions) i eat thru missions so quick so its all good. 1 shoting maybe 2 shoting cruisers and BC's so i always eat them up 1st then deal with BS while my hobs take out any frigs.

Large cap booster with 800 charges is win on this ship. By the time you are out of charges everyone is dead, leaveing a mostly empty hold for any loot.
Also, keep a set of neutron blasters with some NULL L hanging around. Some missions everyting wants to get really close. Kronos with blasters cleans house here with NULL for targets orbiting around 15km out. |
