Hi guys. I am in need of a setup for DPS'ing in level 5 missions. I should not be getting hit.
Basically, I just need a setup for max dps. Range can be varied but I'd prefer to use the Apoc's range, which is the assumed sniper position.
Any help is appreciated. |

Tachyons and heatsinks? fit a web and some tracking computers, sensor booster. ya, pretty straitforward i thought. or same just with megapulse.

Edited by: OPTICALACE on 02/02/2009 18:46:19 i used to mission with an apoc with t2 pulse, i could hit out to 70km with scorch but i soon stopped that as the ammo costs alot, i switched to mega beams with the same dps with multi out to 60km but of course could easily go much farther anyway what im saying is t1 ammo is key if you want to save money lol so hit up those beam lasers as pulse dont have the range or dps using t1 ammo.
8x mega beam t2 sensor booster, 2x cap rechargers, tracking comp 3x heat sinks, 2x hardeners (specific to mission), 1600mm, and then in the last slot either armor rep, another 1600, tracking enhancer if you want more range, or a power relay if you have cap issues
you will probly need 1 or 2 of the pg rigs to fit this cant remember atm and posting from work so no eft

But to expand, Fit Tachy's with some reactor controls? possibly Power Diag systems, as well as as many heat sinks as possible. Idk how long before the stacking penalty overwhelms the addition bonus of another tracking comp, but I would assume 2 or 3 tracking comps.

here's mine....i have crappy skills but it works :P
the whole thing is stable and although i sacrifice DPS for range i get to be so far out i can sit and fire all i want...i dont have to worry about finishing them quickly...
that and the AB ensures i stay at that range :P
and everyone else lemme know what u think....also thats about as far as i can go since i only have 2.3M SP and im broke so higher meta modules are out of the question....i hope to get a T2 cap recharge on soon tho :P

hold on.
this is for LVL5s? ok ive done a few and theres more factors that go into it... and your whole "i should not be getting hit" yea throw that out the window you WILL get hit most of the LVL5 ive done have multiple spawns with triggers and random targeting on them.
so you need to stop and ask yourself
1. how many members are in my gang? 2. how many are setup as logistics? 3. how many of the non logistics are carrying cap transfer and remote repping 4. is it a deadspace or capital capable mission.
basically the more people you have the less you haveto worry about how your setup works with the other pilots. the less pilots you have the more tied together and specific your setups have to be.

i dont know about an apoc, but for l 5's as DD i use a cheaper 'geddon
7 x Dual Modulated Energy Beams ( amarr Navy muti's) 1 L NOS
3 Cap Recharger 2's
3 x Heat sink 2's 2 Tracking Enhancer 2's 1 LAR 1 MAR 1 1600mm Rolled tungsten
with my skills (not maxed) im getting around 1100 DPS at 35 km rangenot to shabby i would say |

Apoc with T2 megapulse. Carry a few types of Amarr Navy ammo for close range, Scorch for long range if you absolutely have to (it gets expensive!). Your DPS fit would be the same as a normal mission Apoc fit except maybe more heatsinks. |

Here's an Apoc... Fitting is pretty tight, but it's got DPS (700+) and range (64+25)
