how often do corp standings update. I have enough standings to put up a POS in a .6 system, but the last few days my standings have not changed... my personal standings are 6.06 and my corp standings is 5.96... any ideas? |

Logout, delete the "machonet" dir from EVE cache, restart EVE, look at your actual corp standings again.

Alternatively: * you could ask a random guy in local that never showinfo'd your corp to tell you what standings he sees * you could hit "show compositions" and look at the number there too
And no, you're not "altering" any game files. Everything in the cache folder is throw-away, especially machonet. For WinXP, the cache folder I am talking about is something like this (I don't rememeber the Vista dir):
C:\Documents and Settings\<windowsusername>\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\<shortnameofeveinstalldir>\cache\MachoNet\87.237.38.200 ^^^ now, THAT is deletable. EVE re-creates it as needed.

Standings only move after every 7 days not everyday like they used to and yes the bug is still there where you can't see your own corp standings. |

I believe it is every day after 7 days - so start your corp and you have to wait 7 days before they start changing then everyday they are re-calcuated during DT |

Are you sure about that Rattus, I thought the whole point of the 7 day calculation was to remove some of the processes which were ran everyday?
If all they have done is to remove the initial 7 daily updates into one chunk then update daily it's not going to make much database difference. --

The "7 day thing" only refers to PEOPLE who have been in the corp less than 7 days, they are excluded from all calculations now.

Basically you gotta wait seven days, once that period is over the corp standings will update to the average players standings - if its only you it will be your standings - i dont think it takes into account people who have joined and left in that period, not sure as i havent made a corp with people joining and leaving. My advise is to kick everyone out for 7 days then your all good |

If all they have done is to remove the initial 7 daily updates into one chunk then update daily it's not going to make much database difference.
The calculations they removed were the whole percentage incrementation that used to occur.
Now it's one simple calculation: Average Standings of Active Characters (active accounts) in corp more than 7 days.

Try checking your standings from an alt. There's a bug when checking your own standing. - - SUPERIOR SYSTEMS: BPO sales, research, copying, and delivery! |
